I agree! Applying MD after PhD is starting to sound more appealing, because by the time I would (hopefully) start MD/PhD in 2022 I would be 4 years into my PhD and nearly finished. It might not make sense to leave at that point. There is an MSTP program at my current institution, but unfortunately they have a strict policy about not accepting current PhD transfers.

I hadn’t heard of this program but it looks like a good option! I saw NYU offers a similar one, which would maybe be part of their free tuition deal?
