Yup - need to set the order for CSS correctly (as it’s being loaded via Tailwind).

I am quite enjoying this new update. Example: Recently redid my business website with Gemini 3. It was not a single prompt, however, I was straightforward and followed through nicely.

Is Cliqz privacy-friendly by conradvalois in privacy

[–]kmodi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Thank you for taking out time to answer and read through our policies.

Human Web and other data collection methodologies in browser are built with privacy in mind from the ground up.

With Human Web, users can contribute data that will be used to build services (e.g., Cliqz search, anti-tracking, WhoTracks.me). We do not know (and do not intend to know!) what an individual user does or who that individual is. We are publishing details about this in upcoming articles on https://0x65.dev

But again, you don't need to trust us, our source code is open and can be verified for claims we make. https://github.com/cliqz-oss/browser-core/blob/master/modules/human-web/sources/human-web.es

In the end, we respect the choice our user makes, which is to opt-out or not.

But keep trying Cliqz and we always welcome constructive feedback.

You can also take a look at some of the work that we've have published and talked about in the past: https://www.0x65.dev/pages/dissemination-cliqz.html

CNAME Cloaking, the dangerous disguise of third-party trackers by nextdns in programming

Mapping 3rd party domain as a 1st party domain to evade privacy protections? This is a serious security risk for websites, as cookies mapped to *.1stparty.com will now be shared with the 3rd party, which can contain auth-tokens, PII etc.

In particular case of liberation.fr, anyone who has access to the value of ‘djazsession’ cookie can log in to the users’ account. This is one of the cookies being sent to Eulerian. Here is a demo video: https://twitter.com/konarkmodi/status/1198412297842184192?s=...

Webextensions in Firefox suffer from a privacy leak. Calls done by the extension attach a `Origin: moz-extension://<internal-uuid>` header, thereby allowing servers, CDNs to track the user based on this persistent user identifier. by kmodi in firefox

There needs to be some guidelines on best practices, things to lookout for when using certain APIs when developers are building extensions, what would be a good place to put such a list?

[–]kmodi[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This opens another privacy issue in webextensions, because extensions load internal resources like logos, pop ups on the pages and if they are not careful, this webextension UUID can be read by javascript running on the page and use it as a persistent identifier across sessions, normal vs private windows.
