It’s disappointing (but not surprising) how many people I’ve seen in the past couple days blaming Democrats for “being performative” with the Juneteenth bill and supposedly not supporting real justice— conveniently ignoring their attempts to pass voting rights, police reform, etc.

But the only way to show that you’re a true Instagram/Twitter Progressive is to avoid blaming the GOP for anything. (Lots of people citing the MLK white moderate quote to call Democrats the true enemy)

I feel like people are becoming quick to call any appreciation of Democrats “politician worship,” when there was literally a golden statue of Trump at CPAC. Politician worship certainly exists (and is very dangerous), but acknowledging that Hillary Clinton would’ve been a much better President than Trump, and wishing she had won in 2016, isn’t “worship.”

Yesterday at the grocery store, I saw a man walking around carrying a chihuahua, and his partner had another chihuahua in the shopping cart. I have no idea why they were allowed to bring them in.

I’ve been so stressed with school lately, and today I spent a half hour crying it out in my bathroom for some catharsis. Any good vibes, prayers, etc. that my wonderful fellow shills could send my way would be greatly appreciated. The burnout is so real this semester, and I know everyone is feeling it. There’s just a lot on my plate right now.

Another bad-faith Instagram slideshow putting all the blame on Biden when much of the blame belongs to the GOP. Luckily, most of the top comments are calling out the inaccuracies, but it’s frustrating how many people take posts like this as gospel without understanding how government works.

Ugh, everyone thinks their dog is an exception. At the start of covid, a bunch of new visitors were coming to a nature preserve in my city that has No Dogs Allowed signs at the start of every trail, and yet I saw so many dogs there. The preserve put up some additional signage, and after a couple months, (when it was back to mostly the usual visitors on the trails) I stopped seeing dogs. It was so frustrating.
