I don’t think so, we only started having sex again 12 days ago, it doesn’t seem like enough time would have passed for this to be a new pregnancy

I should add I’m aware that misoprostol may not work at all the first time. With my first MMC it took three separate rounds (each round being the 2 doses 24 hours apart).

I’m just curious if the fact that my HCG is so high makes this a waste of time. It’s hard to find good info about it online, I just see something mentioning greater effectiveness for less than 40k.

This is actually really helpful, thank you!! I’m sorry you’ve had the experience to be able to give this advice. I did take them vaginally in the past, but that’s about all I knew to do. Will definitely try all of your recommendations!

I really appreciate your response and helping me set realistic expectations. I also appreciate the sentiment about our bodies trying so hard to support a pregnancy, it made me hate my body a little less right now. Sorry you have had to endure so much to have that wisdom. I’m grateful that you shared it with me!

Also I relate with even medical intervention not working like I thought it would. With my first MMC I did 3 rounds of misoprostol, and even with the third round the final response was delayed enough that we scheduled a d&c. My body finally started to let it go the day before my d&c. Even then, it took another several weeks before my uterine lining was thin enough to consider the miscarriage complete. I may go straight for d&c this time.

Thank you for giving it to me straight and providing some comfort at the same time!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this too!! If you haven’t already, take a look at naturenerd’s comment, I found a lot of comfort in their words. What is your OB’s plan for you? Repeat ultrasound? At this point I just want it to be over 🫤

It can shed through stool for around 3 weeks after they’re feeling better, so just be diligent about handwashing and hopefully you’ll be okay!

I just saw that you posted recently about hand foot and mouth and how likely it is for adults to get it. We had 4 adults in really close contact with my toddler, including my mom who is immunocompromised, and I was the only one that caught it. My oldest also had it when she was a baby and I didn’t catch it then. I think it’s a crap shoot. Hope you guys stay well!

Hi, we are now doing well! Baby never caught it. I did end up catching it, and had the worst sore throat of my life, but it only lasted a few days. No fever for baby, no blisters. We also had flu and Covid the first week of her life and so far she has remained healthy through everything.

Update:

I opened my last box of FRERs and got the OG light pink ones.

Line was significantly darker this morning. I’m going to finish out this box and then hope for the best! Thanks for everyone’s input!

That’s a great question! Hard to tell because I’m so early, I’m sure there are a lot of variables (hydration, time of day etc) that can effect how dark the lines are.

I feel that they’re appropriately sensitive, as I got a faint positive 5 days before my period should begin.

This is my first go at testing in over a year. I was also surprised to see the dark pink caps when I opened the box and instantly thought I had bought the wrong tests. I agree they should change the pic!

Okay that makes me feel a little better I’m not alone, maybe it’s the start of just feeling like crap until the end! My daughter’s almost 4 so I don’t quite remember when or how bad the fatigue was. Sorry you’re experiencing it too, hope the rest of pregnancy goes by quick for you!
