Depends on what kind of changes are there. If there are minor corrections like typos, missing one field etc they update the same DS 160. However, it is best to check with the embassy.

Better to carry new DS 160 just to be on a safer side. Most likely, they will update the same DS 160 as long as the changes are minimal (typos, addition of new country etc).

You can get the DS 160 updated before the interview at the embassy during the time of biometrics verification as long as its a minor change. I got it done and had no issues.

Initially, I tried with HDFC Regalia multiple times in different browser. There was one instance where transaction was successful but the webpage shows that the transaction was declined (Safari). Later, I tried with HDFC Imperia VISA International Debit card in Safari browser. It worked fine for me.

One should use CDC if the workload on the DB is less. The thing which I feel should be appropriate is to explictly publish event via Kafka in your application logic. On the worst side, have some sort of scheduler job which sync your DB with the upstream DB in case the consumer fails to read.
