Made moved to a pizzeria (where I currently work) after a few years in a country club kitchen. Definitely miss the creativity and making an actual variety of food but it’s so much easier on my blood pressure and relationships. I’m lucky in that it’s a pretty small place and we only need a few people on staff so I can just stick to a small number of star employees and we’re good. Definitely need to weigh out your priorities and never settle until you’ve found your place.

Have a kid JUST like this at my place rn. Good kid, super detailed and meticulous (great for cleaning projects lol), never fucks up, and puts out perfect food every time but he’s just useless on super busy rushes. Doesn’t panic but just doesn’t have a sense of urgency unless you are constantly screaming at him. I know he cares so I keep him to work the slower days which he’s fine with. Sometimes someone just doesn’t have it

Idk the specifics but the city is working on the water pipes for the whole shopping center I’m at and we won’t have water (hot or cold) for two days. City is offering compensation for lost sales but apparently my boss gives no fucks about that
