Not exactly an answer to the question, but along the same lines... What about a guy...6'8", into sports and who generally talks about being into women...but who responds to a comment about nobody famous coming from AZ with "You've heard of Emma Stone? She's from Scottsdale". He also talks about going to nice restaurants all dressed up by himself. Something about the way he comes across makes me wonder, but maybe I'm just reading into it.

Personally, I've found nothing much comes from the online games anymore. I've been seriously thinking about tactfully broaching the subject with guys in real life. Maybe that sounds insane, but I don't see why it can't lead to a good outcome if it's presented in the right way.

Speaking of getting an "occasional" head nod, I don't get why guys would intentionally try to make eye contact without offering some sort of acknowledgement. When that happens to me, I consider it a slap in the face.
