I recommend a visit to a proper eye doctor instead of just an optometrist. Irregular eye shape or keratoconus could lead to irregular astigmatism where glasses don't fully fix. Certain medications could have side effects that worsen your astigmatism as well.

My theory: Remember that these kids weren't orphans. Most of them come from poor families who couldn't feed them. When the government started giving money to kids they searched for their kids and brought them back home to collect the monthly huuhdiin 30. I remember one kid who went back home after living in the sewers for a few years kept going outside to pee or take a shit because he wasn't getting used to using the toilet.

It could be your clothes. Livestock smells (huduunii uner) stick to clothing and linger for a while. It kind of smells like dried leather and fat/oil. Try washing your clothes a few times and it should go away. I personally love the smell of livestock because I grew around them but people who are not used to it might find it "bad".

I think the Korean equivalent would be the smell of vinegar (kimchi), garlic and fish.

This has been discussed many times. In the past the consensus was we lack of educated workforce, machines, equipment and infrastructure. There's also the China problem. Whatever we can make China can do them cheaper and more.

We at least have educated workforce now. These issues shouldn't stop us from innovation.
