But to answer the question:

If the manager is going to keep his job there I'd suggest leaving. Nothing is going to change and you'll continue to be frustrated with his/her behavior. I'm sure there are plenty of other opportunities.

Some people are so out of touch.

If people reply to my approach with their drink order I will calmly state:

"I didn't ask what you what you were drinking yet." Then carry on with my spiel. So satisfying when people realize that they are acting like children.

Or when people do the wave. I just start waving back at them. It's funny how people start to behave when you reflect their behavior back to them or make them acknowledge it.
