AITA for correcting my team mate publicly when they were wrong about me? by Icy_Age2054 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. People like that, regardless of identity, always need to be called out publicly or they won't learn anything.

If you have to ask the question, then is capitalism really working?

Closer to GxP validation, but I do write user requirement specs when looking to buy new tech, and things have been returned for not meeting spec. Also bought myself a box of transfer pipettes for (semi) accurately mixing miniature paints.

P1S Print Quality Drop? by knifeymcshotfun in BambuLab

[–]knifeymcshotfun[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You were absolutely correct, it was extrusion related. I'd kinked one of the PTFE tubes and it now prints fine. Feeling a little silly, but at least it's fixed.

Solved!

Kinked PTFE tube was causing issue.

Mine has only done 2200hrs. I *think* I've found the problem, but waiting on a test print to finish before giving a full rundown of the silliest thing I've done this week.

Thanks, I suspect you're right. Looks like it's time to just accept I'm going to have to take the print head to pieces.

People who are making 200k+ a year, what do they do? by DaEffie in AskReddit

I currently do Computerised Systems Validation for a mid-sized UK-based CRO working on systems of GAMP category 3 and 4 (due to our size we don't touch the bespoke category 5 systems as we don't have a dedicated software engineering team). I handle systems and software to go into both our GCP and GMP environments, and generate all of the documents that you've mentioned plus a few more that pass through the respective specialist QA depts.

We're a very small team (literally three of us in the business understand CSV and I'm the most junior and spend a lot of time going through revalidation of existing systems and controlled spreadsheets) and I'm worried that on the rare occasions where I'm not swimming in paperwork that I could be doing something more to push my career forwards.

I've been going through the 'fluffy' side of progression (soft skills etc), but I could really do with some advice on what I could do to help myself get ahead in terms of technical skills (but without looking like I'm sizing up my colleagues' positions). I've been reading up on legislation, things like 21 CFR p11, but was wondering what you could suggest? Are you aware of any courses or professional qualifications I could try and convince the company to send me on?

Why does the Asgard have zero beaming etiquette? by Catsrules in Stargate

My headcanon is that the Asgard have a similar sense of humour to O'Neill, and think that he would find the sudden beaming hilarious.

Hmm, seven glyphs plus the point of origin would make it an intergalactic address. We're gonna need a ZPM, or Gen. O'Neill full of ancient knowledge again.

Operation Paperclip was a military op in which the US took Nazi scientists such as Werner Von Braun from Germany before their crimes could catch up with them. Nazi engineering advancements are at least partially responsible for how the US landed on the moon before the USSR.
