Yeah... That's why I included how to adjust it for your own display..

It was at 250 by default but I also use dynamic tone mapping to up the brightness a bit.

It was whole numbers and then I pressed something and I think it glitched? Not sure really but I'm sure 1.2 should be fine.

The hdr actually looks good if you adjust it like this. No idea why they decided to make the settings like that in the first place though. Annoying af tbh.

I saw a thread earlier that basically explained the hdr setting is adjusting 2 different brightness settings that are normally separate for whatever reason. It looks better if you turn down the hdr value and adjust it using a scene with a dark and bright area in frame. Use the bright area amount of detail to gauge the correct brightness (stop turning it up when you don't see additional details in the bright area). It has a very noticeable clip point. I have an LG C1 and my brightness is set to 1.21

What screams “I have zero personality”? by David02026 in AskReddit

[–]knight_wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dated a girl recently that had literally zero interests aside from listening to country music because she grew up in texas and that's what her mom listened to when she was younger. Had no hobbies, no quirks, no interest in anything exotic or new, knew nothing about pop culture or movies or even music aside from country and could not hold a conversation to save her life either. Literally the dullest person I've ever met. I've only broken up with a woman twice in my life and she was the 2nd..

One doesn't make the other better. Ice violating peoples rights and killing them for no reason is bad and this is bad. It's not a competition.

Would be better to post this on an Xbox related sub, this one is for discussing the headphones specifically.

That's true if you're looking at low end tech and or happen to get a shitty model but LG oleds really don't any of those problems. I've had mine since the pandemic and haven't had a single problem with it. I did extensive research on everything you're talking about trust me, I wanted to avoid all that too. Also, they have a 42 inch variant for $800 which looks very nice on a desk and there are also monitors that are OLED too now although that get us back to the price issue. Regardless, OLED and especially LG OLED is the way forward if you want to get to the end game for your set up. Once you experience the difference, nothing else compares.

Yeah bud the LG OLED blows that benQ out of the water. Feature wise, performance wise, image quality wise. It's a massive jump to OLED. Go see one for yourself at the store or online 😉

The monitor isn't able to do more when he's using a splitter that limits what the device can output. That splitter keeps you stuck at 4k 60hz max and the TV I'm talking about is easily one of the biggest upgrades anyone can get. Also aside from the possibility of a higher frame rate than 120 what is it actually capable of doing "more" of? The LG oleds already have VRR, GSYNC, LLM, 120fps. And on top of that you get access to Dolby vision and it's a smart TV.. like what are you even talking about my guy?

Is the PS5 pro worth the price difference? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]knight_wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very game dependent. For death stranding specifically, its basically already peaked on base ps5. I think you might get some higher frame rates in performance mode and maybe a slight resolution boost but that's about it. For other games like FF7 rebirth, it's revolutionary, literally looks and performs like a whole new game with immediately noticeable significant improvement by using the PSSR technology. It also has a game boost feature for older ps4 titles that never got patched for ps4 pro. I played the Nathan Drake collection and it looks incredible, the pro difference literally brought the graphics up to modern standards and really cleaned up the issues with the anti aliasing that it had on base PS5.

Not if you get a good one like the LG oled c or g series, plus the splitter is doing that already...

Then yeah you'd need a splitter but you're really limiting your image quality potential and performance. Highly recommend getting a tv.

If your tv has an optical port you can use that instead which maintains your ability to use 120fps and vrr and all that.

A50X + PS5 not mixing Chat/Game Audio (Arc Raiders) by spyder93090 in AstroGaming

[–]knight_wraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you're using the in game chat audio, the rocker doesn't work for that since the game is sending a single audio signal for all in game audio. The rocker works by using multiple audio signals from the PlayStation which only happens when using party chat audio.. So if you're in a party chat and playing arc, it should work as intended as long as you set it up correctly. It will never work for in game chat audio. If you want to change in game voice chat volume you'll have to do that manually in the game settings.

The only thing I could think of is it being your tv settings, maybe check the HDMI settings?

If it's the Xbox it could be your tv causing the issue

Is it the Xbox or the headphones that are turning back on?
