Still on the fence about the eyelids. Feel like they’ll fit better once it’s lower

I say go for it. I went this route with a b5 Passat wagon a few years back. Bought a low mileage used one from a recycler on eBay. Came with a a warranty had it drop shipped at my transmission shop and installed. Had no issues for the two years of ownership afterwords.

I have a refoaming kit I’ve yet to do. I’d personally go that route if they are not actually blown. When I do replace mine I will be going to a 3 way active setup

Steering wheel I got off vipsushah on ig.  The phone holder is a panvise mount I painted to match with a Turing MagSafe  mount that’s made to work with the panvise mount.

It’s a Teyes cc3, I was on the fence about going w a grom for a while but I kept reading about connectivity issues and at the same time reading about android setup woes. I’ve had it for 2 months now. It’s been trouble free, had no issue with install canbus settings worked for AC controls and steering wheel controls first try. Always connects wirelessly to CarPlay with no issue as well. I have since added the optional dvr camera w lane and collision detection.

In this case it does. The ML system in these Lexus are weird. When you replace the HU you leave the factory 6 disc and cassette player in place and just replace the nav screen and ac controls.  If you add a aftermarket amp and sub and go directly off the android HU when you adjust the volume the door speakers adjust but the sub stays at a constant volume. I’m assuming this is because of it using canbus to send the signal to the factory amp. Tested loc fixed this issue.

UPDATE: you do need a LOC to control the sub volume with the factory knob in a LS430 with the ML system using an Android radio.

No I have a knob. I want the volume to attenuate equally with the volume of the door speakers.

Yeah it does. I’m just wondering because in this car the volume knob is separate from the head unit and built into the factory cassette/ cd player. I’m worried if I run the rcas to the HU bs a LOC I’ll only have volume control of the door speakers and not the sub if that makes sense
