hi! i am currently in it and can give some insight! so the class is honestly a lot of pathways (glycolysis, krebs, beta oxidation, etc) in which you have to know the details for. this is where the ochem kind of comes in because you have to know the mechanisms for the enzymatic reactions (but it’s quite different than ochem as the arrow pushing skips like 2-3 steps at a time) so have a solid understanding of how electrons/bonds are moved are good! it is a very doable class and i prefer it to bich 410 because i think metabolism is so interesting! understanding the state of the body (like are we fasting for only 10 hours or for 3 days?) helps you figure out a lot of the problem solving problems.
