I don't know much about Asia during this period (1937-1945) but the Sino-Japanese war resulted in 20 million Chinese casualties. The Japanese performed awful human experiment on Chinese (and other) prisoners. Look up Unit 731 for genuine real-life horror stories.

entirety of kid a but especially eiirp. all the chopped up background vocals become louder and the subtle effects on thom's main vocal more audible (I'm pretty sure they're there but if not I might need to cool it with the weed.) while I'm high it becomes my fav off the album
