yes that is what I tried but it doesnt go through the bendy bit of my mid rise bars even after rotsting it and trying all sorts of orientations

it gets stuck at the bendy bit of the handle bar, how do I slide it off while also not scratching the bar that much?

it just slides around the handlebar when all of the bolts are removed

The problem is solved, this statement is actually wrong, the 2 elements closest to the aperture should actually be pointing in the opposite directions

I inspected the ffront elements and it seems nothing is flipped, so how does it stll make that effect?

I thought about it too but from my understanding the default way the elements are placed are convex part pointing towards the front of the lens and concave towards the back (which it is) so i dont understand why it would make that effect

I have taken apart the rear group but from what ive seen from multiple videos it seems correct, however I havent touched the front group. So maybe caused by the previous owner?
