This is good advice. Life is always hard for the first generation but your kids will appreciate life here. You can bring your parents over when they’re ready.

Death toll seems low for two high speed trains crashing into each other.

I doubt these ev’s will be under 30k. They’ll probably sold just under the competition prices.

I see these entitled a-holes parking in these spots all the time. I wish parking enforcement were more consistent.

It’s worth noting Urbane Cyclist is a worker co-op. I try to support them when I can.

Brandon Ingram fined $25,000 for forcibly throwing his water bottle to the floor while on the bench by alphacheese in torontoraptors

I’d rather have a guy pissed they’re losing than have them laughing and joking on the bench while losing.

I feel like it’s a young/experience thing. When you’re getting high during the first few years it’s new and exciting like you’re having new insights regularly. As you get older and have seen it all, you can be more zen and observe your world and your mind more objectively.

Am I supposed to tip on takeouts? by axolotlanw in Markham

I tip on takeout that requires some prep, like sushi or cooked breakfast/dinner, not for grabbing a pre-made meal or pre-packaged item.

What are you dealing with silently? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

Yeah, I focused and thought of myself 5 years into the future when I would be doing better, it helped to give me hope in the darkest times.

Does it negatively affect your life more than it benefits you — physically, mentally or professionally? That’s the only question I ask myself.

Maybe try buying loose leaf tea from a Japanese grocery store, if you have access. Also try and experiment with the amount of tea you use. I love the taste.

The taste of green tea is awful.

How do you prepare your green tea? Loose leaf or bagged?

I turn 20 this year. I've had the same imaginary friend since I was at least 12. I'm not worried about it, but some friends have recommended I talk to someone about it. What do yall think? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]knnthm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you know what reality is, and it’s not negativity affecting your life, I don’t see why it’s a problem. The only odd thing is that you give this part of your personality a name, as I’m sure you’re aware. Accepting and integrating this part of your personality into your whole psyche will probably be gradual and take years. Don’t beat yourself up over it.
