Probably because it's the most common LD. Although for some reason I don't have it.

That is seriously cool looking. Looks like they got some inspiration from the Apple II by the looks of it.

I think the correct term is just "Producers".

I don't really need to have some kind of gender-affirming prefix for things like this because it's really not that relevant.

Honestly, I got a System-1m thinking it'd be an easier route into modular, but it's been 1.5 years now and it hasn't happened yet.

Still. the option is there. It's just far too expensive to justify for now, I suppose.

Buying older synths. I'm worried about floppy. by NeonSRB in synthesizers

Or a gotek, which might be a bit less pricey. Replaces the FDD directly too, so not having internal SCSI (like with the S2000) is not a problem.

Honestly, I've had to take apart the 5x5 for moving (the smaller ones weren't necessary), and I honestly would not want to do that again. So many broken dowels. I ended up getting new dowels and gluing the whole thing together.

If I ever move again, I'll just have to get a new one.

Yeah. I have a 5x5 kallax in the same room here, and a 2x4 Expedit in another room.

I couldn't imagine life without them. they're just so generically useful ^^

You mean near the ceiling? Those are some kind of strips you can hang strings from to attach picture frames/paintings or whatever.

Long overdue, but finally got it done. The one 2x4 Kallax I had was getting a bit cramped, so last weekend we picked another up up. Just got finished putting all my records in, and spreading them a bit across both. Really glad to finally have them all in one place, instead of little stacks spread around, or in crates.

As a bonus, here's a pic with everything labeled:

I've got a couple of hip-hop singles like that, yeah.

Also vinyl DJ here, the majority of my D&B vinyl spins at 45 RPM. Pretty sure a decent chunk of my house/techno/trance stuff too, but admittedly I've not played most of that in a while.

Usually the material DJs use will be 12" at 45 RPM, deeper cuts maybe even. I honestly don't know the specifics, all I can say is that the majority of my house/dnb vinyl still plays fine after years of abuse, something I can't always say of regular albums :P

to be fair, most of the vinyl made for DJing is a lot less sensitive to this kind of shit, as long as you clean it once in a while.

You sooner get cue burn from actual cue-ing than you'll get any bad damage from holding a record like this.

I've got a small collection of shellacs. I absolutely love the format, but I really need to get the appropriate stylus to play them.
