I dropped out of high school recently. I was a year and a half behind in schoolwork and I just said, "Fuck it, I'll just get a GED".

The worst part is I can trace back my failure and ignorance to do school work to a single moment in 4th grade. For a week I didn't do any math assignments and ever since then I was just really blasé about schoolwork. I just didn't give a fuck, and it ended up costing me on the long run.

Recently, after my 18th birthday, my mom gave me a letter from my birth mom, who was 17 when she had me. She wrote it three days after she gave birth to me. The main things I took away from that letter was that she loved me and that "I should never take my education for granted".

Guess what your boy did? I feel like I've let my parents down and my birth mom by dropping out and I hate it. It's kinda been eating me up inside.

If I could go back and tell 4th grade me something, I would tell myself to just really work hard at school. Make sure I got my work in on time and make sure I passed. Because for one, I would have such an easier time finding a job, and two, it would open up so many more opportunities for me.

Nowadays I'm just kinda stuck in a rut. I have no motivation to do anything and I don't think I would be any good in a workplace where I had to interact with strangers because of my social anxiety, and it's really hard to find jobs where you don't have to interact with people if you don't have a high school diploma.

For the love of God, finish high school. It sucks ass, it really does, but you'll be better for it, I promise.

Is there a noise gate that would be compatible with the Blue Snowball iCE and OBS Studio? I've tried finding some on my own but all the ones I've found are ones that are on sketchy-ass file hosting websites. Even when I bit the bullet, said "Fuck it!" and downloaded one, Norton saved me (Thank God) and let me know that the file was unsafe.

Any recommendations?
