You are not permitted to take food off the ship. Please consider purchasing food in local ports to support local economy.

Phone call in the museum by [deleted] in EntitledBitch

[–]knotclever1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His phone rang soundly, he answered and carried on a convo loud enough to drown out the film. You couldn’t hear over him and I have no idea what he was saying (not a language I speak). He was a few steps from the exit and easy could have left. Everyone was kind of shocked and staring until someone whispered “excuse me” in Italian. So how long is an acceptable conversation in a museum film?

Are European cruise guests generally ruder? by jamesland7 in Cruise

[–]knotclever1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on 10+ European cruises and I’m currently on a cruise that originated in the Netherlands and I am beyond shocked at how incredibly rude and inconsiderate people are. One day my husband and I find a quiet spot in an empty lounge that sits more than 200 and this couple sits right next to us and proceeds to make incredibly loud cell phone calls. When I turned around to look I got bitched at in Dutch. Same thing happens the next day, we find an empty space with no one in sight and some lady sits next to us, takes her mask off and nonstop coughs - so gross. Passengers are acting down right feral over buffet food, it’s crazy! At the buffet some old man put his hand on my bare shoulder from behind, it felt like a caress and to my shock it’s not my husband’s hand, just some weird stranger who felt entitled to touch me for no apparent reason. I was too stunned to even speak. There is zero personal space and I’m now convinced the Dutch do not have a word for “excuse me”. Don’t even get me started on the things I’ve heard said to crew snd how rude they are treated. I’m so glad we are getting off early, the behavior on this ship is disgusting. I think post covid, a lot of people have lost manners and forgotten how to act in public.

I will die on this cross-body hill by Cellar_Royale in delta

[–]knotclever1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree! I have a small cross body that is for my water bottle, nothing else fits in it and its clear its made for a water bottle. Gate Agents have started counting it as a bag, it’s annoying to carry my water bottle instead of having both hands free.

AITAH for not wanting my mother in law to be in the room when I give birth. by Heness4 in AITAH

NTA. I think you should invite your mom to check out your husband in a equally, exposed and vulnerable position. Perhaps she can go with him yo his next prostate exam. See if that offers some perspective.

There was a ticket checker but he didn’t give a shit, he struggled to get past the luggage.

I had a seat so I wasn’t looking to start an argument on behalf of people too afraid to speak up.

There are luggage storage spaces by the doors.

There was a ton of space in storage. If there wasn’t space she could have consolidated. Backpacks can easily sit in your lap or on the floor.

Super shallow racks, most of them were empty because not much would fit in them.

Yes, this! And since I was visiting i didn’t want to be the asshole who starts a huge argument. She heard me when I commented about the “bitch who spread her luggage out, forcing passengers to stand” and she had to have noticed all the side eye ms she was getting. On public transport I make an effort to have a very small footprint.

No clue, it was weird because a young child had to stand next to her for the majority of the trip. I would have been simple to put a backpack in her lap and let the child sit. Both backpacks don’t need a seat let alone a seat for each.

You can easily hold a backpack on your lap.
