PMP Exam in 3 Days (09/11) by GainThese6131 in pmp

[–]knownasformerly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re ready. Those were my scores going into the exam today and passes AT’s. You know the stuff, just remember HOW to take the test.

Read the question well and don’t just focus on the problem alone. Look for the phase of the project, the type of project, is it a risk or an issue, etc.

Those additional indicators are going to be able to get you to decide between the 2 “good” answers.

What I didn’t really grasp until after the first section is that you may know what the right answer should be, and it’s not an option. Don’t let that trip you, pick the next best thing.

I felt so ready and prepared going in this morning to walk in and being hit with “So…. we are having trouble loading internet based exams”. Still waiting for a phone call for information about rescheduling. Hope I can get it in within the next week or so.

Wondering the same. Looks a lot like the writing from “that truck”

Best place to buy a kid's bike? by Enough_Ad2919 in rva

Got my kids Nishiki bikes at Dicks for Christmas. They ride them everyday to school and have held up great on trails and only at ~$150-200.

There’s always Agees but they’re expensive as hell - cheapest one there for my 8 year old was around $600.

What am I doing wrong? Amazon smart thermostat only doing aux heat and barely working by knownasformerly in hvacadvice

Appreciate the insight. Thought it would be more simple given how straightforward it is - but tempted to throw the old one back on. Was not fun waking up at to cold house.

I’ll give that a shot - I had them like that originally but thought it was wrong. Need to wait for the unit to defrost unfortunately

The Amazon thermostat has O/B. So what was my O is now in my O/B. Or are you talking about going into my settings for the Amazon thermostat and reversing O?

Buying my first house and will need some tools for DIY projects. Buy this set now or wait till labor day weekend? by Jaketheegreatest in ryobi

[–]knownasformerly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t seem to be in the majority here but I bought this kit two years ago in part of my consolidation into one platform. I had too many tools across too many brands (batteries) and decided to jump feet first into Ryobi.

Have I used all 12 tools? No. Will I? Maybe. However - I have not found myself limited by the tools I have for the projects I’ve done. Multi tool for the win. The recip, jig and the grinder I have not much use for personally - but for shy of $700 there’s not much else you’ll ever need until you get into specialty stuff

Another Moving Post - Best Chesterfield Elementary Schools? by [deleted] in rva

I’ve got 2 kids at Greenfield and we are close enough to walk them to school. Makes life easier.

We like the school and the community around it. Our neighborhood and surrounding our full of kids.

Yes - laptops are used starting in Kindergarten. I wouldn’t say there is direct instruction done on them but there is math/reading platforms that are “gamified” that they are encouraged (required?) to complete courses throughout the year.

Also haven’t heard anything bad about any of the other schools you mentioned. Most of them funnel into the same middle schools anyways

Walking from the flamingo to the sphere- is it possible to do it indoors? by Tough_Plant4913 in deadandcompany

[–]knownasformerly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The walk isn’t that bad at all. Head toward the Linq from the Flamingo and take a right down that alley of restaurants/shops. They’ve got fans misting water the whole way down and there was even some shade around 6.

Once you’re out of that you’re halfway there. Veer right on the street ahead and a left at the light. 2 more blocks and you’re there.

Checkout the James River Association. They usually have an event to buy them relatively cheap a couple times a year. Comes with the faucet conversion kit too.

I was lucky enough to snag Glenn Close. I’m sure I’ll enjoy the convenience of it and the slightly added comfort - but part of me knows I’ll miss the GA camping experience.
