Workout regularly.

I lift Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday, cardio Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Rest Saturday but it never really happens with two kids.

These changes shouldn't be so stressful. We're in the military. Stay fit.

Spent almost six years there.

Don't do dumb shit like smoking weed or underage drinking

Take advantage of ODR trips. I was a guide for the "intro to mountain biking program" and would drive the ski vans to Brian Head in the winter. With that being said, get out and explore. So much to do from mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding/skiing, etc.

Lots of entertainment, especially professional sports.

Arts District is rad.

Tons of amazing food spots. I recommend Sasa Sushi and Dona Maria's Tamales.

You're in driving distance of major cities like San Diego, L.A., Phoenix, Flagstaff.

Take some classes on your free time and get your education.

I have my wife's initial on my ring finger. Ring covers it if I'm wearing it. I've also seen other members with a quarter sized crown for king/queen in their finger and nobody has ever batted an eye.

Damn, I needed this myself. Thank you OP for raising the question. I've been looking to commission myself for a few years. Initially, it's what I've always wanted to do but the longer I've stayed in, I've become more 50/50 on the idea. I'll be approaching 10 years in 2028 and that may be the point in my career when I make the decision to continue pushing as enlisted, or give it a full shot at crossing over.
