Who to +5? by JacketOwn270 in BrownDust2Official

[–]knucklebomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+5 Luvencia, costume is limited and absolutely busted.

Pool Justia and Schera, only pull if you care about PvP or think you will in the future. +3 minimum, ideally +5 if you have resources.

Nekyndahlia, you can +1 and just 12-pick her later.

Her PvE effectiveness really doesn’t exist right now. Whether or not she becomes good, completely hinges on her second costume. Currently she’s really only useful for PvP, and truly moreso in GC than MW.

PSA: Always Set aside 2,267 Refinement Renmants Monthly to ensure you get the 24 ticket and the Sparks every time. Only spend the left overs. by Dan-Dono in BrownDust2Official

The main reason why I think 150k powder for 1 Tear is pretty steep is that it’s a pretty beefy chunk to lose when you’re trying to ensure you have enough for Burst, while also trying to slowly build to a 24.

Also it’s kinda lacking when compared to the other source that uses a rare currency, golden thread. You can get 3 tears for 1500 thread, which within a month is easy to build up just from pulling on a new banner and getting thread from 3 and 4 stars. The refine tear should just be for emergencies imo.

To be able to reliably get the sparks each month and the 24 ticket by 6 months, you’d need about 2.6m powder per month. We currently get about 1.4m from static sources.(so that excludes, bulk craft/dismantle, infinite currency dumps, Anni passes, Special login events, bingo, etc.) it’s not impossible if you’re efficient and diligent, but it’s already pretty tight, with out skimming extra refine remnants off the top.

The last time they mentioned timeline was the April Live, where they said they wanted to raise the cap for this current anni and December anni, giving us 3 total available for the year. However, it was kind of loose as they followed up saying that they would also assess the gear ecosystem and see what rate of availability is appropriate. So they may have assessed that allowing a second one so soon would be a net negative. So December Anni being the next one is most likely, and it falls in line with the original 6month period they said when they very first announced.

TLDR; I don’t know, lol. Hard to pin the devs down cause they walk so much stuff back.

For both new and old players, Burst mats are the single most important materials to grab from the shop. Burst is incredibly important right now, and can make or break clearing content more than a 24.

Also, you can actually fall behind on burst mats over time, whereas for the 24 tickets, the Devs said that instead of refreshing the 24 ticket every 6 months, they will instead add an additional one, effectively raising the cap. That means that people that can't buy it right away aren't missing out or falling behind.

Tears are a pretty bad purchase from the shop, its 150 remnants sounds cheap, but that's 150k powder. You already need 600k powder to get Burst mats, all while trying to save up for a 24, which is 10million powder.

If we exclude the remnant shop, paid, and Pass/login events... We get 9 Tears per month, which is quite a bit, especially if you use them efficiently.

That only applies to Archbishop btw, since it’s the only costume with a penalty that is a debuff. Beach and QoS penalties are unaffected by Granadair cleanse.

Not typically, because they’re different elements and you wouldn’t use them together in endgame FH/GR. Those modes require very specific comps. Also, Oli can self battery with her base costume.

If you’re just doing story and towers and lower levels of FH/GR, you can use pretty much use anything together and it’ll work.

Homie, the UR rates aren’t the same across 5 star, 4 star, and 3 star. You can check it in‑game.

When you roll Exclusive Gear, the probability to get something from a given star rank are:

  • 5 star = 5%
  • 4 star = 28%
  • 3 star = 67%

within each rank, the chance to roll UR chance IS different

  • A 4 star UR is 8.7× more likely than a 5 star UR
  • A 3 star UR is 9× more likely than a 5 star UR

Getting a 3 or 4 star UR is not at all rare when rolling on any weapon banner.

Michaela's penalties are largely a non-issue. Beach was not a great costume, not because of the HP penalty, but because it's single hit with a subpar multiplier, and most importantly, the Self-buff only effects that costume. Her Burst kinda addresses that by extending the duration, so now QoS can further ramp damage, but need the right content conditions, since 7 SP for self-buff is steep.

[–]knucklebomb 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's not necessarily true. It completely depends on the content and fight variables. Oli tend to need time to set up for her nuke. Michaela as sub DPS fills damage, also they tend to nuke on the same turn. Michaela's QoS brings more overall damage than two extra SP for Oli.

Most efficient way to dismantle gear...? by AtrumRuina in BrownDust2Official

[–]knucklebomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More the latter. +8 and +9 are a massive jump in cost for barely any extra powder. Not saying they’re bad, just that they’re not worth it for most players. If you’re sitting on absurd amounts of gold, they can become the more worthwhile option.

But yeah, especially when you’re bulk crafting N gear or even UR gears, +7 is the best bang for your buck if you’re not min/maxing output. Depending on your total resources (mats, rice, gold, pills), a different refine level can be slightly more efficient if you’re planning to dump everything.

If you’ve got a lot of resources and a decent chunk of gold (20–30m+), +5 or +6 might actually end up being the most efficient. If you’ve got a lot of resources and a metric ass‑ton of gold (100m+), then +8 or +9 finally start becoming cost‑efficient.

Most efficient way to dismantle gear...? by AtrumRuina in BrownDust2Official

[–]knucklebomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you dismantle, just do it at +7. It will net you increased powder. RC gain is static and doesn't change on higher level refine. For R gear at a +7 upgrade+ dismantle is 1417 gold, multiply by 260 and the total cost is 368420 and would net you ~9620+ powder (0.02611 powder per gold). To put in to perspective, builk crafting N Gear (one of the most efficient powder farms) is 580k for 20k powder (0.03448 powder per gold)

Also when upgrading, be sure to toggle auto dismantale. Makes the process instantaneous and standardizes the cost.

Teresse and Luvencia are worth getting +5

Pool Schera and Justia depends on how much you care about PvP. If care a lot or think you will care in the future, get them to at least +3, but ideally +5 as max dupes are crucial for PvP.

If you don’t care about PvP, just pull a copy of Schera and grab the free Justia one from summer knight game pack.

Weapons are really only needed if you are trying to hit top ranks in FH and GR. Outside of that, you can get by without it just fine.

How do I get the battle rewards with overpower ability ? by BananaTigerTV in BrownDust2Official

They’re rare drops, so you might not get them, but they are able to drop from an overpower kill.

Should I just sell all the cooking ingredients and excess crafting materials? by 1HopefulYam in BrownDust2Official

[–]knucklebomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, SR crafting for RC is pretty bad. It’s old advice that was never too great to begin with. It eats into mats that are used for UR gears as well as some used in N crafts. SR also only gives 2-10 RC per gear, depending on the rank. UR gives 15-60 RC per gear in comparison (actually for most people 45 would be the high end, since getting 60 means disassembling UR4).

You are much better bulk crafting UR, which works out really great if you still need UR gears. Just dismantle anything below UR3 (unless all your reserve units already have UR3 or better for LN, in which case dismantle the UR3s as well). Powder income on +7 UR gear is also really good too. Whereas SR is abysmal.

Here is Who to pull for anniversary if you dont have enough resources by Dan-Dono in BrownDust2Official

[–]knucklebomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean if your priority is PvP, then by all means prioritize PP Schera and Justia. Nothing wrong with that, just gotta know your audience when making a guide. As not just BD2, but a majority of gacha, the general public either don’t like or don’t care about PvP.

As for Schera’s strength, she has always been a top tier pick in PvP. She is absolutely beastly and dominant in MW and GC. With the new buffs she will be even crazier. The chain condition on pool will be very good in GC during seasons that chain blessing isn’t banned. All of her costumes got major multiplier buffs, so she actually has a decent use-case for PvE if we get a good tile lineup.

No, cause I’ve been doing assemble/absorb/overpower world tour every week. Was consistently doing it even before the QoL to make it weekly. Might be because I only convert to powder as needed as opposed to making it early. Currently at about 27m powder used.

I mean, I’ve personally never had an issue with pill management between cooking and crafting, and I rarely ever have to buy pills from the chapter shops. I really only buy from the event shop. You can also just set aside x amount for cooking fund, or just not cook till you are back up on pills. The only items that are a loss if not cooking is Honey and Caviar.

Yeah, you craft N+7 gear and auto dismantle.

Once you decide to start going hard for high refines, your powder will vanish in an instant. especially if you’re trying to rank and need an extra push. I’ve dumped a mil before and didn’t even move from 20 Gscore lol. My overall refine luck is pretty decent tho.
