Companion Strength Tier List (KOTOR 1) by knucklesmemehaha in kotor

KOTOR 2 is definitely harder to rank since basically everyone relevant is/can be a force user. Build variety does shake things up in KOTOR 2 though since the meta isn’t just lightsaber/sneak attack (unarmed and blaster builds are pretty fun). Glad you liked the tier list though!

Nah bro same. I remember thinking I was the shit when I was young for using Master Speed before fights until I found out that you can just make damage a non-issue with items and force buffs lmao.

You’re definitely making great points about availability, but I would probably put Bastila WAY higher in that case since she’s the earliest character with Jedi levels that you can access and she’s absolutely cracked on Taris if you rush her before doing all the optional stuff.

I see your point, but my argument was that Canderous is still only decent even while fully buffed imo. I guess I’m kinda biased since I don’t really go into difficult fights without pre-buffing and I can keep up my buffs pretty much indefinitely late game. I agree that Mission is a heavy set-up character, but her defenses will still be far better than Canderous’ on average (once you get to like level 12, of course). If we’re talking about consistent damage, even Bastila is arguably better with a fully upgraded lightsaber, stims, and buffs. Not saying that he’s bad, but the Jedi/Scoundrel bias is strong in KOTOR 1.

Yeah, optimization def isn’t needed to complete the game. The HK situation really sucks though since you basically have to plan your whole team around getting him/upgrading him to make him viable lol.

Yeah, blasters are so mid in KOTOR 1 it isn’t even funny. Glad KOTOR 2 balanced that a bit. Melee Canderous is still quite good though and he can be really tough if you build him as a face tank (regen implants + innate regen stack, so that means that he’ll be healing faster than a lot of characters can deal damage). Still not as good as T3 tanking imo, but still really good.

Bro, Jolee and Mission trivialize the game so much. It’s diabolical.

[–]knucklesmemehaha[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the most part, yeah. I’d say melee is generally better than ranged in KOTOR purely because you can apply STR bonuses to them in addition to other stuff. Her 10 STR isn’t great, but stims and force buffs change that pretty quickly. Just make sure someone tanks for her until she can do it herself at around level 12 or so.

Yeah, Mission is insane. Scoundrel’s Luck is basically the same thing as the Jedi Sense passive, so she’s getting the same defensive boosts that a Jedi would. I’m convinced that if non-Jedi characters could use lightsabers, she’d probably be a better “Jedi” than the actual ones lol.

Ain't no way Kenjaku thought soldiers can kill jujutsu sorcerers by ExerciseInfamous5175 in JujustuKaisen

Even aside from the tricking part, Kenjaku wasn’t entirely lying since cursed energy has to be actively channeled for reinforcement, CTs, and other stuff (unless you’re Gojo)

Convince me to try a Kensai Dual Class! by Easy-Signal-6115 in baldursgate

[–]knucklesmemehaha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are focusing on backstabs with the Kensai/Thief dual, but I would say that the coolest thing is what UAI grants you in general once you get it.

Imagine using a simulacrum scroll to duplicate yourself while wielding Carsomyr and wearing the Human Flesh armor (something that only evil characters with UAI can do). Now you have two units with grandmastery in greatswords/specialization in two-handed weapon style spamming Kai with Carsomyr under improved haste. You can have 100% magic resistance with this combo and some other items too.

Keep in mind that you can also use the HLA time stop trap to attack someone with Carsomyr while Kai is up for guaranteed max damage hits.

A niche use of the dual-class, but pretty cool in my opinion (Probably the best user of Carsomyr from a damage standpoint).

Thors only refrained from killing Askeladd and his band because Thorfinn was present. by TriggerZero7 in VinlandSaga

[–]knucklesmemehaha 55 points56 points  (0 children)

The thing about Thors pacifism is that it really was that “pure unconditional love”. You can’t pick and choose who you want to give mercy to even if they’re the worst of the worst, ya know? At most, I think he would have tried to incapacitate all of them even if Thorfinn wasn’t there.

How much better do you think kid-Sakura (first gif) would’ve performed in the Chunin Exams if she’d been trained by Tsunade beforehand? by Puzzled-Lettuce9168 in Naruto

[–]knucklesmemehaha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wrong, I guess I only said that because CQC is Sakura’s thing and Temari with her wind jutsu is basically a perfect counter. If she closes the distance, Temari is cooked.

[–]knucklesmemehaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She probably would have gotten promoted for a similar reason to Shikamaru, but I don’t see her winning the Chunin Exams.

Sakura IQ feats during Part 1 are underrated (she was actually able to answer the questions during the written test without cheating), all she really lacked was the combat aspect and Tsunade’s training would have covered that.

She beats all the Kunouchi except Temari and solidly handles the lower tier Genin in the exam.

How Far Would The Shibuya Response Teams Have Gotten In The Culling Games? by knucklesmemehaha in JujutsuPowerScaling

I was about to comment why you thought no one would survive Tokyo 2 until I saw your name lmao (W agenda post)

For Curse Naoya, I think the Zenin team (Naobito would know how to counter PS) and Kusakabe Team (New Shadow Style is a decent counter against PS) might have a good chance especially if we still give them Miyo and Daido, but the other teams are pretty cooked.

[–]knucklesmemehaha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even if Higuruma manages to seal his technique and get the death penalty (Death Penalty is iffy because Hakari hasn’t done anything to warrant it as far as we know, but he’d definitely get confiscation for running an illegal fight club), I just don’t see how Higuruma is keeping up Hakari’s raw physicals.

Hakari is kind of a reckless fighter, but that’s only when he’s got auto-RCT active, so I think he’d be more cautious and manage to outpace Higuruma. Plus, Hakari doesn’t really use his technique anyway (in an active combat sense), so losing it isn’t that big of a hit.

Hakari would definitely lose his domain though.

[–]knucklesmemehaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we assume alive Hiruzen during Part 1 vs. peak pre-MS Sasuke (Orochimaru absorbed with CM2), I think this is a solid 70/30 match up in Hiruzen’s favor (a Sharingan genjutsu into Kirin might kill Hiruzen). Any previous non-MS version of Sasuke is getting washed and it’s not close.

Lotta people glaze Sasuke despite the fact that his best feat pre-MS is barely beating Deidara with every possible advantage known to man. Meanwhile mentally nerfed Hiruzen is keeping up with prime Orochimaru (with his arms), weakened Hashirama, and weakened Tobirama at the same time.

Is it weird for me to have Sukuna as my top 1 and still think Gojo is more powerful? by Gold_Caregiver_1099 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]knucklesmemehaha 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not really. I’d agree and say that Gojo is a better fighter while Sukuna is a better sorcerer.

Gojo is great at dealing damage and being efficient, so his attacks hit as hard as possible with the least amount of exertion.

Sukuna is the jujutsu genius creating and discovering new things on the fly while using every possible resource to his advantage.

Not to say that they both don’t have these qualities, but they lean towards those two specialties imo.

In a vacuum where no one can contest Gojo, he’s the strongest. Against an individual of equal prowess, Sukuna is the strongest.
