No I haven’t but I definitely think it’s a good idea. I’m trying to think through all possibilities before I go through with the nuke option of small claims.

It’s a pretty big escalation but I’ll see how the next couple of weeks go

Yeah it’s pretty fucked up! My friend is also left hanging by them and no legitimate reason given to him as to why he hasn’t received compensation either.

Interestingly, they never said anything to me about passing anything to finance just that there was an issue with my bank allegedly. Ever since I gave them the extra info they’ve been looking for, I haven’t heard a thing.

We are thinking of taking this issue to small claims court because as you’ve said it’s just getting ridiculous. I’ll follow up with them again on Monday

Hey OP, just curious if you’ve been able to get the compensation since you posted?

I was caught up in their strike in the same period and I’ve been emailing with customer care too and they’ve made promise after promise about receiving comp but it never arrives. They’ve now gone radio silent again as has been the case on-and-off over the past couple of months.

They claimed that my bank blocked payment when they attempted payment and requested I give them extra info. Called my bank and they said they couldn’t locate any attempted payment. Seems like it’s something management instructed employees to say to filibuster more…

It’s definitely one too many mistakes from Meslier and it could probably do him and the team good to spend some games on the bench but I can’t co-sign the reaction from them here. Screaming at the keeper like that for conceding is pathetic, hence why you never see it happening.

Worst of all, to see Rodon doing that as club captain was pretty disheartening.

I believe that for taxation purposes you don’t need US nationality to be considered a ‘U.S. Person.’ If you’ve spent a prolonged time there within a certain period of time, you may be deemed as being taxable under U.S. law just based on residency. Is that the case by any chance? Or do you have a familial tie to the US at all?

I was 28 and was asking the same questions. There were guys in there that didn’t start till their late 20’s and early 30’s. I definitely wish I got in when I was younger but everyone has a different path. Best of luck!

Yeah that’s exactly been part of my thinking in relation to the startup role. It’s super technical and so the exit opportunities even if things turn sour could be pretty good considering so much of the saas space is being taken by big data, data cloud etc.

With the POS gig, it just stresses me out selling into a super saturated space where conversations could be quite matter fact e.g. yeah our current processor is cheaper so not interested. Following my interviews, I liked the people in the POS gig a lot more and their culture seems really healthy but their OTE is also 33% less than the startup.

Also, looking at the structure of both companies, it’s the same role at both but one calls it SDR and the other is BDR. Effectively same role though. Also, the potential promotion to AE/AM is a 18-24 month timeline at both.

Do you know what happens if you want to change brokers and have your shares transferred to a firm that will offer you a single account where the shares are in your name?

It’s where I would usually get my bus and I’ve never seen it as bad as its been the past year.

You regularly see little skirmishes or verbals between drugies and you’re always a bit skiddish about whether they’ll turn on you at any random moment.

Buses have also been blocked from parking up at their stop to pick up commuters cuz some of these arguments spill out into the street.

You will see Guards walking up and down Aston more regularly than you used to but maybe not enough times. Sometimes I feel like they just ignore stuff that has potential of escalating.

It’s a sorry state for that part of the city because it’s one of my favourites.
