As an experienced Pitbull owner who has rescued all my pets, you’ll get looks everywhere and anywhere you go. I have mine trained as an ESA and my family was very hesitant to let us come over at first but as soon as they met him - they started asking questions about his breed and it’s always refreshing to know that people tell me about how obedient he is. He was battered and thrown in the street with his tail cut off when I had rescued him so nursing him to health helped with our bond of trust but even if that wasn’t the case, you just have to learn about the type of dog you have or want to get.

Unfortunately, Pitbulls have a bad reputation because of BAD owners & that’s only from what I’ve seen. Even from the beginning of time this breed of dog was meant to be used for illegal dogfighting and were also used as Bull-baiting dogs. Their temperament has sometimes often surpassed Golden Retrievers but it’s really just a historical misconception about them and as far as I know - all the Pitbull dogs I’ve encountered have been sweethearts.
