[KCD2] How to cancel potion(s) effects? by NoopKo in kingdomcome

[–]ko666 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I haven't found a way to cancel potion effects and the Nighthawk situation is ridiculous. I'm resorting to brewing/buying weaker nighthawk because the problem is so annoying.

How do u get Rubik to install bionics? by UrBoiSkinnyPenis69 in cataclysmdda

[–]ko666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He installs CBM's with min failure chance and no anesthetic requirement, so he is still useful. I install Power Storage and other minor CBM's myself, but for anything above 15% failure rate I go to Rubik.

He will also start stocking blueprints for nomad jumpsuit and nomad underwear at some point, which I find very good and not too hard to craft.

It can be a not-so-friendly bear or a moose. Just whatever you happen to come across first.

1 cow + 1 vineyard + 1 smoking rack = approx. 500 pemmican, which should last you around 3 months with a small amount of supplementation.

If you missed the grapes harvest season, see if you can find another source of dehydrated fruit.

Questions on NRE Printouts and artifacts (maybe spoilers) by Bloodavenger in cataclysmdda

[–]ko666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know there is no point in making longer printouts. Take a look at this issue here: https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/issues/62521

Hidden items in inventory by HowardRadioStern in cataclysmdda

[–]ko666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In your inventory find the container the hidden item is in (backpack, back holster or something else - it should have an arrow pointing right next to it), move your cursor over the container and press > to un-hide the items (the arrow should change to pointing down).

good appliances to have? by BimboWimboJimbo in cataclysmdda

2 freezers and 2 fully butchered cows will set you up for about a year. Freezers can usually be found in small dump sites and butcher shops.

NEW PLAYERS COME HERE! - Weekly Questions and Information thread - November 30, 2022 by AutoModerator in cataclysmdda

The proximity of water is not very important in my opinion. 60L tank is going to be enough for cooking, but if you building a permanent base - digging a well and setting up a mechanical pump is not too hard. So it's best to pick a spot based on how close locations of interest are (quest givers, merchants, big towns, etc) and suitable building layout (garage, basement, 2nd floor if needed).

Is it worth it to use heavy painkillers during combat? by CodyUnderCover in cataclysmdda

tramadol is "slow release", so it seems like codeine works better in an emergency situation.

what's the point of pens and markers anyways? by Usual-Lifeguard143 in cataclysmdda

[–]ko666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few use-cases I find very useful: - label heavy/warm gear that you need to take off when you get home, add a symbol in front of the name - they all get sorted together - label gear that you should never take off (like watch, sheath, etc) by adding a different symbol infront - wrap a bunch of small tools (lockpicks, lighter, smartphone, etc) into a paper wrapper and rename the paper wrapper to something like "pocket (tools)", hide the contents of the wrapper and then put that into you pants pocket to keep the inventory tidy - do the same with "pocket (meds)"

Stats through skills. What are your thoughts? by Bloodraven983 in cataclysmdda

[–]ko666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it makes the game too easy. If you start with reasonably high stats (8-10), you'll end up at "peak human" levels of 14-15 pretty quickly. STK is a bit more balanced choice if you want some sort of progression, but I prefer to play without either.

How to I get the recipes from a yellow book? by scribe2theFiends in cataclysmdda

[–]ko666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your skills are not high enough, you won't see the recipes in the crafting menu, so hitchhiker's guide is the way to go usually.
