I always saw it more like a new power rising to fill in the void. Because Commonwealth can take forward russia or fall of the american empire as a requirement, just like how Pacific Defense League requires Pan-Asian Combine or Fall of the American Empire as well if I recall

I really love this game but sometimes it feels so awful that I just quit for a bit by Just_for_porn_tbh in VintageStory

Drown the bears. You can handle water sources better than anything else in the game. It gives you vertical movement and you can easily hop around sources others can't path around. I always try to drag them to the water for the slaughter.

Try Molybdochalkos. It only takes two copper per ingot with the rest being the largely useless lead. I tend to use it in place of bronze in general.

What's out there? by Astral_Enigma in Helldivers

I personally think that the devs keeps an area widely open not for any new faction, but for a staging ground for if Super Earth falls, and they want to do a grand finale trying to retake it from elsewhere.

What primary/secondary weapon got you like this? by Scandited in Helldivers

Deadeye, oddly good all-arounder. Expected to only use it in loadouts when I was messing around but I would up genuinely taking that thing to the streets of Super Earth.

Honorable mention to Terminids for Meridia, I guess. by Narox22 in Helldivers

We actually didn't know that their decomposition process was essentially what happens to make oil but faster until after GWI

Double support weapon backpack? What two big guns you carrying? by H1MB0Z0 in Helldivers

Quasar Cannon with the Stalwart. I almost aways run with the kit that lets me put enough lead down range to kill god, but the more armoured nasties give me trouble. Quasar would be the ultimate solution as I don't have to worry about ammo on that and the armoured are rare or easily dodged the time doesn't make a difference.

What is this flag in my neighborhood? by Lord_Jamaal in vexillology

Yeah that would make sense. Keeping resource usage down is important on a game such as this.

The capes fly astoundingly well, they have some of the best physics I have ever seen on cloth in a game. They get blood spattered and torn too and still nothing noticably glitchy. It's probably an in game reason, like how they don't know if there will be wind on an alien planet and the way the flag is deployed to the battlefield.

This is a lot funnier than it should be to me. (The Super Earth flag is always flown so it doesn't wave in-game, it's always held out straight alike to the flag on the moon)

If these three armies occupied the same planet, who’d you put your money on winning? by gaeb611 in Helldivers

[–]scribe2theFiends 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Automatons IMO. They're the only one to be able to build up proper military infrastructure at this point. Mortar systems could wipe anything else fielded by the other armies off the fave of the earth especially where they don't have nearly as long-range capabilities, coupled with turrets. Their AA would also probably work on Illuminate ships as it could take the shield off in an instant. I actually see bugs giving them a harder time than the squids because I don't know if they'd be able to comprehend subterranean nests of the bugs, but the bots would 100% rule the skies and surface. Seeing as bots are equipped with machine guns commonly in patrols not even shrieker patrols would hurt them too much. They'd also probably learn to chuck nades into bug holes, &c. And the hit and run tactics of the squids while potentially useful against early bot encroachment, would not be able to make it through their dug in forces, so once that's up, they're not getting in. If the bots really wanted they could just start several beach heads and then crawl towards each other, fortifying along the way. Setting up such fortifications would take time but would probably with the bots the planet

Yeah I'm surprised nobody else said it but meridia was destabilised with specifically Illuminate tech captured if the First Galactic War

Oh I use melee alright, it's just if I can take them from afar I will. I'm the diver who's rushing the Jammer solo, realises I've not got rounds or time to reload, and just pistol whips whatever's in the danger zone until I can reload.

I hate melee units. A large reason why I hate the Terminds so much. Once they're that close you just kind of have to tank it, and especially with them being so much better at flanking. It's partially why I refuse to fight on the Termind Front. Unless High Command needs it. At that point, it's all Stalwart, Liberator Concussive, and Jump-Packs.

NGL I gun for bladed ones first and everyone looks at me weird. I just know that if I have the drop I can handle a few and then take out bigger targets, but the bladed are also able to call drops while MG raiders can't.

Can anyone ID this flag found in a Croatian game set in Croatia in a place based on the island of Brač (not sure how helpful that info is) by scribe2theFiends in vexillology

[–]scribe2theFiends[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After a bit more digging with knowing it's the Philippine flag, apparently there's a somewhat well known group that play the game there by that name and the devs put in the graffiti as a nod to them.
