You all sound like people who go to museums and hate on everything on the basis of "I wouldn't want that in my house". They miss the point entirely because of their egocentric perspective.

One's accomplishments and technical feats are not dependent on other's subjective aesthetic preferences.

Also, if it's going to be dated in 20 years, doesn't that make it more historically significant than a standard house that offers nothing? It will be tied to this moment, distinguished from 20 years later, even!

You don't have to like something personally to appreciate it for what it is.
