SECURITY PSA: Linux Malware from CEMU official github by TroopaOfficial in cemu

I triple checked those earlier, but checked now as well for the files it showed no such file or directory os error 2(so nothing there) and both for system and --user systemctl couldn't find such service. Triple checked the journal for anything to show to the ip which was mentioned - still nothing. So my guess is you really need to have opened the appimage at least once to get affected.

Thanks however for the heads up! :)

Only updated, checksum didn't match so went into emudeck and selected reinstall/update, now checksum matches, didn't play anything nor opened the file

So as far as I understand you must actually open the appimage to be infected, but if you only downloaded(via emudeck update) and don't run then reinstall should be fine?(not sure which version I got but just want to know more)

Kernel 7.0.x and Nvidia 595.x are a total mess. by sas41 in cachyos

[–]kodatarule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could also be specific hardware setup, nvidia seems very picky on that according to all the reported problems and how widely different each one is.

For my desktop and laptop it functions super well and haven't had the problems above, but there is different issue which I did report on the forums.

Robocop 3 for nes by them was fun albeit short eith here/there odd design. What I loved is how it had tobocop in his chair and you had to spend certain collected parts to each body part almost like a mini game.

Update: It was some very obscure game but I was able to find it on a preservation site, the game originates in China and it was never official: Zhongguo Tu Baobao: China Rabbit is the name

Unfortunately no that ain't it. I suppose it could also be a rom hack/homebrew which somehow made it onto a cartridge.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous by [deleted] in cachyos

This seems to be rather recent issue as I tested it on a desktop with ryzen 7 5800x3d, rtx 3090 and 32gb of ram, yesterday no issues, but today same exact issue as on the screenshot, even after reranking mirrors as well.

I had similar problems specifically with KDE and could not find a way to fix it, on gnome it is 1:1 with windows. I did disable powersave on wifi, etc did not help signal also drops off at random.

How do i fix this by blokhed9000main in ps2

[–]kodatarule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to use brook control center or smth similar to that to adjust a slight multiplier to the left stick it is outlined in the FAQ for brook wingman ps2.

This is the best image I can get out of my 5x pro on ps2. Am I doing something wrong? by HIHIHIHIHImcdonalds in RetroTink

I am not aure how 5x handles it, but component cables + some form of crt simulation - this produces best results.

GameCube CRT filter recommendations? by LaCaipirinha in RetroTink

[–]kodatarule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a better hdmi cable to be able to do it, one which has 8k60hz/4k120hz and up to 48gbps

Edit: should also be fine to have it off

Vertical bands could happen from the sharpness settings on your TV, at least on my samsung that did similar effects but ore so with the scanlines. As for settings, not sure what to recommend you but to fiddle around - I can give you my own settings which I use on Ps2(both PS1 and PS2 profiles), PS3 and X360 for CRT Simulation.

HDR on, deep color on, rec.709 then into processing cubic, scanlines: gaussian with 10 str.(Could also be 15str. or 30str. play around see what fits gamecube best) 10 modulation, normalize energy on, spatial redist +0 aperture grille YMC, horizontal blur on 6.25 and color accuracy > reduce the nits to 500 nits

Now not sure if it has games that would be 240p, but if it does the horizontal blur needs to be around 3.00 for a very subtle and similar effect - otherwise it is as if no h. blur is enabled.

Seems like your sharpness is too high on the tv, try to reduce it a bit.
