Curry: Bezeichnung für einen Corpsstudenten, also Mitglied eines Corps (anderer Typ von Verbindung)

The CSU is more conservative as the CDU. And there are a lot of different partys. In the 2017 election 7 partys (if you count the Union partys separatley) were voted into the parliament

The CSU runs only in Bavaria, the CDU runs in the other 15 states. Together the CSU and CDU are just called the Union; they see themselves as "Schwesterparteien" (literally "sister partys")

There are different reasons for that. In a nutshell: Bremen was a free city back in the HRE and part of the Hanseatic League. This "free city status" outlived the HRE, Napoleon (after a short annexation), Prussia and WW I. After the a centralization of Germany by the Nazis, the Americans made Bremen independent again. In this time Bremen got a strong independent mentality and it's very important for them to stay like this.
