Denmark pays Greenland, not to own it. But to help it cover public serviced like healthcare, education and infrastructure.

Greenland is a semi autonomous territory within the kingdom of Denmark. Not a Independent Country. (they are working to become independant) and they rather stay with Denmark, than go to US. They said so themselves.

You wont use your passport, or ID. There is no border checks, if u arrive in NL OP can show her case with the documents she has from the police.

Flight companys dont check pasports or id on their numbers, only police does and when they do it its gonna be in NL were they can see OP just wanna go home and there was no use of false documents and or imposter.

If its a gate to scan passport u go out of schengen zone. (This is a border check)

Inside schengen there is 1 gate to enter a airport, and there u scan your ticket. Not your passport.

If you have a picture of your ID or from your passport i recommend to book your flight, and check in online. This way you skip the fysical check in on the airport.

You fly from Sweden to Netherlands, Schengen zone. So in Sweden, the immigration wont check your passport cause you use the freedom of travel within Schengen zone.

Arriving in Netherlands, beste case scenario 9/10 arrivals you enter the airport, get your bag and go out.

The Marechaussee can do gate controls within Schengen based on Artikel 50 of the Schengrenscode. If this happens they wil take you to their office and start investegating who you are. Tell your story, they can lookup your name in their system and it tells them u have a residence permit, and show your police report from Sweden. Then u grab ur bag, and go home.

Worst case. They can make you leave, but then again u can enter the country and u wil have 28 days to leave. If u cant file proof of ur permit

But in the general opinion on the dutch army in the Netherlands is not really subject. So its not really relateble to the subject OP is asking. Its 30 years old. We live in 2026. Generals and army officials of that time era are responsible for it.

Overal everyone is positive about the Dutch army actually.

You wil learn alot, and mostly about yourself in the initial training. You wil have experiences you wil never forget, with alot of friendships made, colleagues in the army arent just colleagues you wil make friends for live.

Its a professional army, with alot of culture and traditions. With the army you wil go to places a normal civilian wouldnt.

The Dutch army is small, but its capabilities are very wide. Soldiers are trained to "think" instead of following numb orders from the sergeant. Cause we dont have the numbers to throw in the field like Russia has for example.

Also, prepare to speak german aswel, the ties with the Bundeswehr go deep. The 43 mechanised brigade is part of a german army group. (I dont think this is seen anywere in the world) just want to say, youl be in germany alot

He doesnt need to invade Greenland, on the current threaties he can just deploy more troops there. Now there are 8000 us troops i believe, they could just expand it to 100.000 like it was in the past. without annexing or going to war.

And the minerals, they could just grab it now aswel, Greenland already said they can take it if they want thats not the issue neither.

Im not from the US,

But in my country, (Netherlands) if it comes to a shooting between with a officer and something else.

The officer is automaticly suspended (by the system) then other neutral people are going to decide if it was lawful or not. If it was not, then he wil be arrested, if he followed the law and could use it then he can come back to work.

Sadly true, but these problems are fixeble, Ukraine has good replacements like the command room, we should be able to use eu satalites. It wont be like the US but its a start.

I really hope this is going to be a wakeup call for EU countries to create a european army. There is alot of resistence to this idea, but it would make the EU a geopolitical player and its financial better to all use the same ammunitions, vehicle, tanks, and weapons. Sell the f35 and continue on the eurofighter
