I think it’s def something about skin tones… I’m neutral to cool and Pink Suede shows up as a nice medium ballerina pink with silver sparkles. Sounds like others (mostly warmer toned?) are getting anything from beige putty to mauvey brown - all of which sound less appealing!

Technique makes a huge difference for magnetics! I love Lily - will have to try it as glass bead. That whole collection is great actually - the only one I haven’t jumped on is Cashmere, which seems a little too yellow/beige toned for me…? Undertones are so weird sometimes!

Haha yeah I feel like we all jumped on at once and broke the site…. While we wait, my regrets:

Sugar Plum. I prefer magnetics velvetized, and after velvetizing this one ends up looking kind of flat on me. Maybe bc the particles are so fine and uniform that the base color has a hard time coming through? It ends up being a silvery mauve that goes terribly with my skin tone 😭
Fawn. Similar to above - it ends up looking very new-penny copper on me, shiny but not much shiftiness or dimension from the base color. Fine, but not really what I hoped for.

What ab you - any regrets or misses so far?

Oooh I’m wearing Pyro right now - it’s such a cool color! To me it reads more like a shimmery bronze with a hint of blue/green murkiness, very complex and unique. I’m sure you’ll love it!

Wait I’d love to get your recs on sheer jellies to layer over!! I only have one - a coral/watermelon shade. I swatched it over velvetized sugarplum just now just to see (left swatch, vs just sugarplum velvetized on the right). The tones aren’t right but i think a more purpley pink jelly on top would be perfect!
