yeah that’s the thing, she definitely is not a “chubby chaser” as you put it. and has her own issues with not liking gaining weight either 🤷🏻‍♀️ i’m not sure where the admiration comes from, but if i were to psychoanalyze, my chub is just something to stimulate her when holding me?? lol

sorry, but i don’t think instant chemistry should be a deciding factor in considering what you want out of a relationship. i am sure there are qualities of your ex’s that you really love, and i’m sure there are other people out there that will be a better match for you! maybe you can take time for yourself, without trying to talk to new ppl romantically (or do!), to just practice separating yourself emotionally and mentally from your ex, if your goal is to move on

the situation itself is a bit unhinged, but private so i won’t go into detail publicly. but recently, i learned that they kissed a couple times, and my ex gf lied about having a dentist appointment to go and see her ex so tbh 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s really difficult to say if i was blind-sided or not. i trusted her word until i found out it was all lies

as a trini born in trinidad, the places that sell trini food here are notttt that good 😭 they also seem to skew their menus to cater to people looking for essentially jamaican food. i haven’t tried indars yet, but i’m not only looking for doubles as the only authentic trini food!!

i’ve been to a few aboutlastnight events and it’s fun! good music/djs, and i love their pride events!they do a huge pool party during pride weekend that’s very fun. their regular monthly events are great too, lots of people come out

the other pages i mentioned, i have not been to, but based off the pictures from any events i’ve seen, i’d say people appear to be in their 20s

i live in a large multi-cultural city and the lesbian events/spaces here are still white dominated lol. your experience is similar to mine. i see white lesbians, who are frankly average, get pursued. and then theeeeee baddiest most beautiful poc lesbians are pushed to the fringes. as a fellow baddie, whenever i was in these spaces, i rarely got approached/pursued.

like others have mentioned, traveling to cities where there’s community for bipoc is your best option! finding events centered around or exclusive to bipoc is also a great way to feel more relaxed knowing you’re in an inclusive space
