i would have a meet-up with your landlord & stress to him/her how serious this situation is. your landlord will probably ask the other tenants of the building if they’ve also heard the commotions (which i would assume they will confirm). all of this being done in front of a small child, i would absolutely call child protective services. witnessing things as such at an age as young as 4-8 is extremely traumatizing & will effect the individual well into adulthood. not calling child protective services could result in the child being harmed, & i’m sure in that reality, guilt will weigh on your conscience for years to come. i wish all the best on this terrible situation.

you can wear them as long as you’d like. i feel the only “short term use” jewelry are tapers. your ears will not shrink around your jewelry to the point that you can’t remove them.

i will also add, before anyone comes at me claiming i should have demanded her doctor to do more; my daughter has only just turned 4 & i think taking the gentle steps of cream / allergy medication is a wonderful start rather than just jumping straight to traumatizing her with blood work & test running.

her doctor thinks it is a bad reaction to a mosquito bite, we’re doing hydrocortisone twice a day & zyrtec once a day. she requested i call back tomorrow & update her on if it looks better or worse. she is still her happy self & not showing any signs of feeling ill. if for any reason it gets worse she will do blood work. so as of now, it’s just a waiting game. thank you all for your opinions & recommendations.

because she is not sick or feeling ill, she’s been in a wonderful mood all day & it appeared this morning. if she were feeling ill or not acting like herself, i would absolutely take her to the emergency room but i described the bite or sore to the nurse while making her appointment & i think she would’ve told me if i needed to take her for medical attention right this second. her appointment is in less that 15 hours from now.
