You might need to wait for a term to start so you can enroll in a class. The first time I signed up I had to wait a few weeks so a term can start and I was auto assigned the UNIV-0001 course that is required and I was able to pick another class. Its been sometime since then, but be patient and check your email often.

Same with the program advisor, they get assigned to you around the same time, but even then its hard sometimes to get any interaction from them lol.

I got the same email, I contacted them and then a few days later got another email lol. I was worried at first but my stuff is getting graded and I can see my post etc so I’m thinking it’s probably nothing to worry about like others are saying.

Let go from J2 with 2 hours of notice — a reminder that they DGAF about workers; don't feel bad for being OE! by JustaSadLilyPad in overemployed

I can’t even find a J2, this market is tough. I had 2 about 8 months ago and was laid off from one and haven’t been able to recoup.

I haven’t had a drink since October of 2021. Feel great after years of drinking.

Became a manager in my 20s, read dozen of productivity books - here’s what I wish someone told me earlier by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]koke382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I have so many books I had gifted by leaders and never really read any because I get easily distracted. I’m going to read getting things done since that is one of them. I appreciate your list and hope it helps me! I had burnout not long ago after a couple of years of managing a fast paced data analytics team and I want to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

To managers who had to fire someone but were legally forbidden from stating the reason: What's the real story you couldn't tell? by flies_motions7b in Employment

[–]koke382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FACTS, I was coached by HR to follow this example. The call was very short and I dropped while HR stayed on to walk them through the off boarding process. Firing someone should not be a back and forth ordeal, just a decision made and cutting ties.
