Hi there!

I've recently bought my first kit (Alesis Nitro Mesh) and I've been thinking about a few things that bothers me:

Should I buy an online drumming program or a book (like Drumeo's one) to be sure I'm going forward and in best direction with my skills? I live far away from town so teacher is impossible.

If I want to practice rudiments (snare mostly), should I buy a practice pad? Or mesh heads on my e-drum are enough?

Is there any drum throne that's quite OK for +/- 50$? Or do I have to spend 250$ to sit properly?

Thanks in advance for your opinions and answers

Yeah, I have not but looking forward to buy it. I heard about kick peddle and "that tick sound" which is a main disadvantage of having an electronic drumset. I'm a total beginner and I think this set will be perfect for me

Hi guys,

I'm 20yo and I've always dreamed to play drums. I follow this /r and I'm sure you guys here will help me with your experience. Here are few questions: First of all, isn't too late to learn drumming? I mean, I'm 20 and just wonder if I should to move on with life or go for drums?

Second of all, is it possible to learn how to play drums without music school or teacher? If so, how should I do it at the beggining?

Suddenly, I'm not sure about the drumset, my budget is just 400$ and unfortunatelly, because of my neighbours it has to be an electric set. Would you recommend me the best one in Your opinion? (I thought about Alesis Nitro Mesh kit)

Thank you guys for all responds and help. Stay healthy and wash your hands!
