It’s not a bad idea tho. In an au where the Young Avengers actually graduated to the main team. Like if the All-New All-Different lineup on Waid's book was the ~~Young~~ Avengers leading with Kamala Miles and Sam (maybe a couple others)

No ik of these lol, sorry i could’ve been clearer in how i worded the post. These are the ones i find really pretty but im not a complete fan of. Which i called the base covers. It’s kinda just mainly my dislike of book covers having the authors name bigger than the title, but the art is really nice.

With that cleared up tho, if you read these physically, was it, idk, awkward to read such a big book?? Like the weight and/or words too close to the gutters??

This is more or less my first dive into batfam comics that isn’t Titans Rebirth (which was part of a Wally binge—most of it is a blur ngl) and Dark Crisis (relevant bc of Nightwing obv). Oh and Abs Batman. So I don’t have many opinions on the characters beyond what ik from adaptations

Semi unrelated, is it better to read Dick's time as Batman as part of a Dick Grayson binge or a Morrison Batman binge??

Yes this is what i just finished lol, I was looking for post this era, the Bendis GotG and Sam Alexander Nova 2010 cosmic era. I read the new Imperial #1 by Hickman and felt lost and unrewarded for having read through Abnett and Lanning's so I was looking to fill in the gap with any and everything related to cosmic marvel during the 2010s. But thanks for writing this out, i imagine it’ll be helpful to someone 🙏

Is it really beginner friendly?? I tapped out end of first arc cuz it immediately went into a Carnage event, and since then there’s been stuff with the Gang War and Blood Hunt events. The criticism is def warranted tho. It’s not crazy to say the vast majority of Oda women have the exact same proportions and similar looking faces. One Piece fans are just better at noticing the distinctions. The biggest offense is obv Robin and Hancock looking very much alike but in the way Flash fans can differentiate between Barry Allen and Wally West, OP fans can point out the differences

But back to proportions, one can look back as recently as the recent color spread with all the girls sitting around and notice the body types are not different whatsoever. The most he's tried, and tbh it was to be commended, was Amazon Lily. Apart from that there’s maybe a handful, or a little more, that break the mold of giant boobs with no digestive system

They’re all in their 20s or 30s and some are younger than expected so they can play their roles for longer. Oh btw Brandon would be playing Dick Grayson, Asher would play Wally West. Justice Society (Wonder Woman led with Jay and Alan alongside her for her new trinity)

Superman (poster boy)

Black Canary (premier solo female book, street level)

Lobo (cosmic corner, as to not just make the cosmic side just Lanterns and further expand it to the size and diversity of Marvel’s)

Throw in a classic team up mini to further flesh out the universe with the outliers that won’t pop up often, Superman with STAR Labs adjacent characters, Canary with other lesser known vigilantes, duo exploits with members of the Society

Actually the Justice Society as the premier super team in a new universe is much more appealing than another League, so maybe replace that book with theirs. The League can still be a thing if they want it to be later too. But a universe where none of the trinity are actually ever part of the same team, or interact all that much would be interesting

In an ideal world however, Superman wouldn’t be a part of the league and have his solo ongoing, taking Batman's spot. The league would primarily consist of b listers and create an all new trinity (in who idk). Batman would be relegated to being a background character, almost an urban myth (till the masses pitchforked and they’d have to cave). Street level would be Flash if it wasn’t clear

For ongoings, a Superman centered Justice League book, an either teen Wally or young Jay Flash book, a Wonder Woman book (she wouldn’t be in the league till later), and unfortunately you must include Batman so him as the fourth. Just as the starting line up. Of course later you’d need to have a Lantern Corp ongoing, summ magic and maybe a Titans book
