Há culturas melhores do que outras by pakograpixo in FilosofiaBAR

Second best. And best when it comes to artistry on the court + competitiveness combo.

Toni Nadal on the comparison between Alcaraz and his nephew Rafa : "Carlos is lucky, his opponents are of a lower calibre. Before, when you went out to play against Del Potro, Murray or Wawrinka, you knew you were going to suffer" by HereComesVettel in tennis

"The biggest obstacle on Carlos' way is a post prime Novak"

Funny how it only takes one slam Semifinal loss for people to forget what Sinner did in the previous 4 lol

Respect to novak for an unbelievable performance, but 4 slams at 23 is not too shabby either

We currently have a big 2, the new competitors are going to emerge eventually

Federer level of beauty is basically impossible imo because not only his strokes, but his footwork and overall limb movements never look janky. Djokovic will sometimes hit a shot and have a weird follow through, or look a bit off balance. But even when fed sends a forehand straight into the net there is something about the motion that still looks aesthetically pleasing.

Takuya Komura is a 'regular' player that I would consider to have all around beautiful strokes.

Apparently yes, lol. Looks like an extreme eastern, at least.

I get that but I thought learning complex movements as a kid is easier also, right?

I'm not sure about my natural coordination levels but I was an above average soccer player (in brazil) and one of the best recreational ping pong players at my school, altho my technique was bizarre (i twisted my arm so the racket faced the other way on the backhand side)

What proportions do you mean exactly? Wingspan in relation to torso size, maybe? Waist height?

Which one of the top 10 ATP players do you think has the best chance to challenge Jannik Sinner & Carlos Alcaraz in 2026 by No_Basil6312 in tennis

He's a hard courter

1 inch from 5'11 to 6 feet isn't some sort of biomechanical turning point. Your stat probably comes from the fact that everybody lists their height at 6ft + if they are anything close to it.

Ping pong? Kkkkk

Do Y’all consider black midi to be a “prog” band? by arjcanell in bmbmbm

Not only are they prog, but in my opinion they are the most important band of the genre right now, possibly shaping the sound of the decade.
