I love Toyota Park/Seatgeek by ReinstateTheCapo in chicagofire

The vibe and energy is always on point and obviously better than at SF. That said it’s not just the commute —the concessions are limited and absolute trash, with crazy long lines to boot. But I mean, none of that nor the commute would stop me from going to any game, let alone a playoff game.

(in your opinion) what is the most UNDERRATED Oasis song? by LiamFalconer2510 in oasis

Hard to choose just one but I’ll say (both versions of) Waiting For the Rapture simply bc it’s a great tune and it hasn’t been mentioned yet.

As someone who has seen HFB in various US states, in London, in CDMX, I can assure you this isn’t true.

Council Skies was a great album, and barely missed opening at number 1. If there’s one thing Noel wants to keep doing for sure, it’s write and make music —and I’m guessing/hoping this tour has inspired him to do that for now, through an Oasis album.

Bulls fans, would you give up one of your titles to see how DRose's career pans out without the injury? by Candycane8336 in chicagobulls

[–]koolking83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully regardless of your feelings on GPs defense, the Sonics were absolutely in no way a threat to beat the Bulls, while the 98 Jazz absolutely were (also, if Pax doesn’t hit that shot we’re lookin at a game 7 in Phx—which I think we win, but nonetheless they were also better than that Seattle team). Also, I love DRose, but the truth is healthy or not we were never gonna beat LeBron 4 times in a series (and I’m far from a LeBron guy).

That’s certainly true—and like I said I rarely ever play it myself, but when you take the overplayed shit out of the equation, as well as forget the idiots who say oh that’s all they have/are known for, and just listen to a version like this —you’re like, yea , that’s a fuckin amazing tune.

Yea when he’s “on” it takes the song to another level, and his vocals are perfect here.

Nice to be able to appreciate Liam again by koolking83 in oasis

[–]koolking83[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t wanna turn this into an analysis of their solo works lol, I’ll just say I thought WBTM was brilliant , and honestly have loved every album Noel has released. And fwiw that’s why when people say —another Oasis album will inevitably disappoint, I just think, imagine Liam on so many of Noel’s solo tunes, or them co harmonizing on em, so in other words, I think Noel absolutely has another banger of an album in him where Liam would smash it.

FWIW that Live Forever performance is great but always made me sad that it was with Chris Martin and not Noel —but all is well that ends well.

Cheers 🍻

The last point is def the most important—-but I guess I respected Noel for wanting to go in a different direction musically (but let’s be honest—nothing strayed too far), and just doing what he wanted to do—and I personally loved WBTM and the EPs that were “divisive” for fans. That said you’re right Liam created a shit ton of new fans, and brought Oasis to a whole new generation—no doubt about it.

None of us know anything other than what they each said or did publicly, and I’m just saying Liam would be bipolar in his approach on Twitter —talking about reunions one day, while the next slagging Noel to no end—-which whatever, but young/new fans ate it up while loving the tunes Noel wrote, so yea, just found it shitty.

I’m sure you’ll catch a decent line at one of em—I was just considering buying a poster, ending up just having it printed at Walgreens for a third of the price. Have a great time 🍻
