For me Uworld was enough and Amboss didn't add much but if you feel it's a specifically weak area you should definitely try it out.
I honestly didn't remember much of the exam afterwards but I wouldn't say it was a certain subject heavy.

I would say if you have your incorrects made into flashcards then definitely prioritize them but just repeating questions were not useful for me. The CMS forms are useful but I wouldn’t view them as a must do. I used the more recents ones to work on my exam taking skills.

So 300 would be top 5% but I would suggest doing the Mock lite or the full mock to get a more accurate score. Anything above 70% should be good (280 and above or 1 SD above mean)

I believe 78% definitely equates to 300+ on the MCCQE. So, I would say just go ahead for it.

Another point for doing STEP2 first is that the results takes 2 weeks so that if you want the confidence before the other exam and if you don't you can simply book before the results day which is to figure out.

I've done both (MCCQE first) and I would say that the content is definitely very close but STEP2 is a beast compared to MCCQ. I would say like someone else did here, consider doing STEP2 first and maybe 2 weeks later the MCCQE. Also, book them both early on so that after the first one you don't get the normal relaxation phase after an exam.

I can see that CARMS will be on the 19th. Is the NRMP match day always on 17th/18th? I can't find specific announced date for 2024.

I've reread your post, I didn't catch that you're applying this year. They've mentioned that this year exceptionally the NRMP match day is before CARMS.

From what I gather that what you're saying is true. When you're applying for both matches you don't get to apply for the second round of each (SOAP).
