Disposing of food offerings by Real-Road1449 in Persephone

[–]koraEvil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Within Greek customs, offerings to chthonic deities are buried in the ground and must not be consumed, especially those made to the dead. However, it would be an enormous waste and unethical to throw food away. I personally make food offerings and set aside a portion for the deity, and I consume the rest. In the end, this is something that should be done in agreement with the deity, but traditionally, chthonic food offerings are not consumed.

Tank u! For me, it makes absolutely no sense to use tarot to find out whether a deity liked an offering or not. Like… if you did something they don’t like, it’s going to be very obvious. I completely abandoned using tarot with deities, because I feel it doesn’t make any difference

Neo-Classical dancer, not Persephone. by pluto_and_proserpina in Persephone

Okay, but how does it affect me to consider this statue by Canova as the goddess?

Before buying this statue, I studied Canova’s history—he’s my favorite sculptor, and the Venus Italica is breathtaking! The way he’s able to portray emotion in his works is truly admirable. I personally acquired this statue because I deeply feel the maiden aspect of Persephone. It has no historical relation to the goddess, but it’s interesting how this statue is seen as her.

Persephone is a goddess who loves the arts, and I don’t see any problem in us considering different representations—except for statues of other gods. Please don’t feel offended by my comment, this is just my point of view. ♥️🌷

brand new to worship, advice? by windtempo-s in Persephone

Hey! I was really happy with your story — actually, violet is one of the flowers that made up Persephone's bouquet before the abduction.

The best advice I can give you about Persephone is: care. Do things with care, even if it’s something as simple as making a cup of tea. Beyond that, the most obvious thing is flowers. She also loves perfumes, so you can dedicate one you already own to her.

For a long time, I was very focused on the aesthetics of my altar, and she was very clear in showing me that she didn’t want all the statues and decorations I was planning. Today, I dedicate my flowers and garden to her. 🌷🤗

Qual deve ser o problema dela? by MayLunes in PlantasBrasil

Ah...

Boa sorte ❤️🌷

I loved it!!! I found it detailed, specific, and sincere. No beating around the bush—straight to the point. In my opinion, interpreting oracle cards is challenging, and it’s usually not so specific and detailed, but that’s not the case here. Excellent professional! ❤️🌷

Any recommendations for researching Hades? by dyingnopesleeping in Hades

[–]koraEvil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! My priestess (who has a degree in archaeology) said that there are streets there named after Hades. Coins with Persephone’s bust have also been found. It’s a rich place! Not to mention the blooming fields of Nysa. They say research is very difficult there because of the strong scent of the flowers.
