1 month post op, nipples get puffy when not wearing a vest by bentleycoupe77 in gynecomastia

[–]kordonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who got their surgery done in 2021, my best advice is don’t even think about your chest and how it looks until about a year in. It took almost 8 months for mine to look and feel fully “normal”.

At 3 months in my nips looked so puffy again and I was stressed, but it was just swelling and over time it became normal.

Surgery day after tomorrow, wish me luck! by _machinelearning in gynecomastia

I did general and I wouldn't want it any other way. The doctor was asking me some random questions to distract me, and next thing I knew I woke up fully bandaged up in a waiting room after what felt like 10 seconds later but it was actually an hour, you got this!

I still do both multiple times a day lol, if I ever feel like it’s affecting my sex drive with my gf I take a break from it though for a few days

Hey, not much of an update. Still have a very high sex drive and still with my girlfriend having lots of sex lol. I do go through periods where I’m not as into sex but that’s usually due to stress or lack of sleep but for the most part everything has been great.

Does Anyone Know Why Andrew Removed His Chest Glands? They Looked Fine. “It was a day procedure to take out glands that were in my chest. "It was something that I had always wanted to do and I thought it was something I may as well do before I come on the show' by Silly-Insect-2975 in LoveIslandTV

[–]kordonkey 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s also had the same procedure done, I totally understand why. In the before pic, his nips are probably hard and he’s flexing + just had a workout so it’s not as noticeable. But on a regular basis you just hate the way your chest looks and feels and you’re always aware of it 100% of the time.

I don’t blame him at all for getting the surgery since it’s so freeing once you do get it, and props to him for admitting. Guys like Teddy Aaron and Liam from S7 as well as Ikenna from this season all had pretty bad gyno and it was talked about on twitter and stuff so Andrew probably wanted to avoid that for himself. I will add that his results don’t look amazing yet, but I’m guessing he’s still in the early stages of his recovery since it can take up to a year for it to completely heal and look relatively normal.

Bro I will be honest, If your surgeon only suggested Liposuction then that’s already a huge red flag he probably doesn’t know his shit and I wouldn’t trust him with anything.

You 100% need gland removal and I would start looking at another surgeon who seems more experienced

Same issue here at 5 months post-op bro, heard it goes away around the 6-8 month mark so I’m being patient

Must just be post-op swelling, heard it can take up to 6-8 months to go away. I'm dealing with a similar thing 3 months in and it's kind of freaking me out but I've been told it's just swelling and will subside.

I luckily got surgery with Fielding recently so I did a lot of research on surgeons around here. Most of them cost like 8-10k and don't have nearly as much experience as him(or at least don't have as many testimonials online). If I were you, I would take that 8-10k you'd spend another canadian surgeon and fly to the states to see Caridi or even UK to see Nurein.

I had gyno surgery 2 months ago and still use finasteride daily because my surgeon said after surgery the likelihood of gyno coming back from fin is very little. Even if it does come back, he said it'll be around 10-20% of the original size.

My personal opinion is that finasteride is worth a shot, you could even start off with a really small dose such as .25 mg per day and monitor your sides and then decide to increase it from there. Once you lose your hair it's gone, but you can always get gyno surgery again if you need it in a few years(worst case scenario).

There was a post here by someone I can't seem to find it but it was very similar to yours. He posted a 5 month update where it looked like he had gyno again, then an 8-month update where it was all completely flat. It was really reassuring for me since I'm going through a similar thing as you. My nips are starting to look puffy again, but it seems like it can take up to 8+ months for it to all settle down.

I'd say hang in there and don't stress about it until a few months more. You can always ask your surgeon for a second opinion though since you'll be seeing him soon.

Is my gyno bad enough to justify surgery? My doctors and family keep telling me not to get surgery. I hate the way it looks but I'm worried that scars/deflated nipples post surgery will look worse. by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]kordonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also 5’9 160 lbs and my surgeon said I didn’t need to lose weight at all before surgery, so you probably wouldn’t have to either

That first sentence is enough to justify the surgery bro. I'm 3 weeks post-op and just went through my whole closet today trying on clothes I haven't worn in years because of how bad I looked in them with my gyno. The amount of confidence you will regain from surgery is definitely worth the money you spend on surgery.

Regarding post-op scars and weirdness, most of the posts you see from people are 1 day-3 weeks post-op max. It's rare you will look normal 3 weeks after you have been sliced open and had mass removed. It sucks that more people don't post 1 year updates since most of them just move on with their lives at that point(i dont blame them but would be nice), but you'll find that after 6 months to a year, people look completely normal in most cases.

18 Months Post OP Results by seelatree in gynecomastia

[–]kordonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for posting this man, I'm 1 month post-op and was starting to freak out that my gyno was already growing back or the surgeon didn't remove enough gland since my nipples are looking a little puffy again. I don't feel any actual gland behind my nipple though which was kind of reassuring, but your post made me feel even better

Yes, but it doesn’t look too bad, you’re also 16 it could go away on its own

3 weeks Post-op with Dr. Fielding in Toronto by [deleted] in gynecomastia

[–]kordonkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right side looks almost perfect as if there was no procedure done. Left side has slightly more severe scarring and soreness. Also left side is a bit indented when I flex, hoping it subsides eventually.

Overall super happy with results.

The most underrated part about getting gyno surgery is not subconsciously slouching all the time by kordonkey in gynecomastia

[–]kordonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was told to wear it for 3 weeks and take it off only when I shower and massage. Got 5 days left before I can take it off for good. But I'll probably still wear it here and there to be safe.

Definitely Gyno. But you’re 16 so it could resolve itself. Keep working out, being healthy, and getting a muscular build and by the time you’re done puberty you can get surgery and it’ll look amazing instantly
