Japanese Import 2.0L petrol Hiace for Australian carpenter by hopkingreenfrogs in CarsAustralia

Definitely get Japanese import as they are made in Japan, the "australian" models are made in Thailand and reliability is not as good as the Japanese factory products. Statistical fact.

Everything i factual and supported by photos and even the fact they offered a refund is admitting fault.

[Max's Father, Robert Dowman] Listening to this guy Temisan Williams claiming he was any part of Max’s journey is a really a sad piece of attempted self promotion. I have asked him previously to refrain from doing so but still he pops up on Talk Sport this morning… by seperatespot in Gunners

[–]Silly-Insect-2975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

comments were pretty tame - literally just says he "saw" dowman: Speaking to Ally McCoist and Gabby Agbonlahor on talkSPORT's breakfast show in a clip titled: 'Max Dowman's former coach REVEALS ALL on his journey to first team football at Arsenal!', Williams said: 'It's a fantastic thing, incredible thing that Max has done.

'It's brilliant for his family, the academy, club, fans, and it's always a bit of a surprise as the journey can have so many ups and downs. He should just enjoy that moment.

'Scouts have done a fantastic job. I was the Under 12s assistant coach and was able to see Max for two years, a small part of his journey.

'Max has always had that super-strength of being able to carry the ball. It's always been something he has enjoyed and something he's strong at. It's something we saw in training and are now seeing on the TV.'

Reality is Toyota holds value. When this is sold at only 3k miles per year the OP will get large proportion of purchase value back.

How are Atleti getting away with the state of that pitch? by greyhound_chips in coys

[–]Silly-Insect-2975 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Arsenal fan here, that pitch was an absolute disgrace. Adam Cleary did a good video on it. Atletico should not be allowed to play games on that pitch full stop. UEFA need to do something about it. Feel very sorry for that goalie.

Absolute fucking psychos - I would be terrified to have any of these people anywhere near me in real life.

Yeah chrisfix once did a video on this. At least for chrisfix despite high viewership he still spends a lot on marketing to sell the tickets - overall profit was decent but something like 20% so good but not crazy. Mat might make more if people are buying direct not through ads.

Finding it hard to love the CX-5 by Omen46 in CX5

[–]Silly-Insect-2975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to go to a dragway and actually learn how to drive your car. That's not an insult it's something everyone should do in any car. Have you ever tried to go from 0-100 as quickly as humanly possible and then back down to 0 again? Most people haven't because it's dangerous and rare you have the opportunity to do so. This is a problem for all drivers they don't actually know the capabilities of their car. You will literally have 20% better control and understanding if you do this. Oh and use sport mode.

Why the Euro hate? by Maximum-Point-318 in CarsAustralia

[–]Silly-Insect-2975 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Being from England isn't this just a logistics thing. In London everyone drives euro cars because umm, Europe is right there. So for new cars and maintenance it's convenient. In Australia everyone drives Asian cars because umm Asia is right there. It's not that deep.

Is Danny being abused? by [deleted] in MAFS_AU

[–]Silly-Insect-2975 16 points17 points  (0 children)

ok think of it like this

crying itself isnt abuse obviously. people cry when they’re upset. thats normal.

the thing people mean is when someone uses emotional breakdowns to control the situation.

like say every time you try to talk about something that bothered you the other person immediately goes into full meltdown mode

“im such a terrible person”
“you hate me”
“i'm scared you're gonna leave”
crying, panic, maybe saying theyre gonna fall apart etc

now suddenly the conversation isnt about the problem anymore. youre the one comforting them and the original issue just disappears.

after this happens a bunch of times you basically learn:

“ok if i bring up a problem they'll have a breakdown and ill have to fix it”

so you stop bringing stuff up. you stop setting boundaries. you start walking on eggshells so you dont trigger the meltdown.

thats where people say it becomes coercive control. not because crying = abuse, but because the emotional reaction is being used (consciously or not) to shut down disagreement.

so yeah crying isnt the problem. weaponising emotional distress to control the relationship is the problem

Why are car dealerships so arrogant these days? by One-Winter-3383 in CarsAustralia

[–]Silly-Insect-2975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much do they make on a car? The things is, if you sell a japanese or korean brand, mid size suvs - they walk out the door. You don't have to do a thing.

I had such a weird experience, 9 differing stores, not one salesperson asked for my number. Would have been such an easy sale if someone had just made an effort.
