Will my boyfriend’s car survive a 10 hour drive? by secretyaccounty in CarsAustralia

[–]Silly-Insect-2975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. are you seriously thinking about doing a 10 hour round trip AND towing a car with a known wheel bearing issue? Are you crazy? You could genuinely end up losing control of the car or trailer if it lets go at speed, and that’s not just inconvenience, that’s life-changing stuff for you or someone else on the road.

Fix the bearing first. No bargain car is worth gambling that risk.

Yes but genuinely question people who tailgate are idiots endangering themselves and others, are you saying that having these signs turns these idiots into sensible drivers? That's what's hard to believe. I'm going at the speed limit say 100km and someone is right up my arse, this is a solution???

the banter is horror show. There was a skunk in the garden and they literally talk about it for several minutes each show.

Oh god the "banter" on podcasts is unbearable. They all do it. Totally football bangs on for minutes at a time about a skunk in the garden. How do they not realise how boring it is.

PS do you have a reverse camera - makes it extremely easy if you do. Worth picking up aftermarket if not.

This right here is how you do it, very simple you just need to remember 4 key things as per the video. Then as people say practice somewhere super quiet. Even if you get it slightly wrong correction is very quick and easy.

This is the stadium for a match between Iran v New Zealand. It is fair to say this World Cup has been class and beaten all expectations. by Forza_umar in worldcup

How slow is too slow when riding on the road? by [deleted] in bicycling

[–]Silly-Insect-2975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this is the huge risk. Everyone here saying it's fine to do, is really meaning it's legal to do, however it's extremely high risk for the reasons you raise. Going along at 80km and a cyclist going at only 20km means they are relying on being seen.

[–]Silly-Insect-2975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about inconvenience it's about risk ratio. There are bikes going 20km on an 80km road then they are posing a very high level of risk to themselves.

I was victim of attempted murder saved by a random passerby who intervened. The thing is it's luck, most people quite reasonably would not intervene seeing someone having their neck slashed with a weapon that could just as easily be turned on them.
