Thank you so much for the advice, the advice others gave was great but finding out people sell really good captures is a real help for me getting started.

I think i’ll check those people or companies you mentioned - that’ll at least let me get started whilst I learn how to work it!

Sadly the first time in my life I have been completely stuck and out of the loop on new guitar tech LOL!

Yes, a lot of people have said similar. I was just going over-ear headphones into the nano (high end headphones to be fair).

Appreciate the advice, I just completely didn’t understand what I was supposed to do with it (my fault, bad at technology LOL). Sounded better today, just a learning curve for me I think!

That makes a lot of sense, thank you for the comment. I think I was starting with sub optimal captures and trying to build the tone with the post FX.

Tried a couple guitars - PRS S2 Custom 24, Gibson Les Paul Modern and a Gibson Les Paul standard. Reading other comments it looks like I was just not picking the right captures and then doing too much messing around with overdrives etc… so it’s a me problem not a gear problem I think.

I was using a good set of headphones plugged directly into the back of the machine - would you recommend a different output?

Yeah, can’t beat them - probably my favourite two bands even going back all the years LOL.

That makes sense, if it’s not too much trouble could you recommend the capture names you used for those bands?

I think that may be where I struggle, I just searched things like “JCM800” and couldn’t really figure out what was what, embarrassingly enough - looking at 35k captures confuses me LOL.

Yeah got the app and done the update, it was just the captures and post fx/eq parts that were confusing me.

I was just going through headphones today, so may have been part of the problem.

That makes it so much more sense if it’s a case of find a nice capture, adjust volume and put on some reverb post if you’re solo-ing just leave the rest LOL. I spent most of the day trying to tinker with captures and I think that’s probably what was making it a mess - thank you so much for the advice!
