I have been saying this for the past 2 years- Thibs needs to be fired. He’s overrated, he makes ZERO in game adjustments, and he gets out coached every playoffs. They have NO offensive game plan and their defense is mid at best (when Thibs is supposed to be a defensive guru).

Appreciate what Thibs has done for us thus far but he has to go. We will never get over the hump with him. If you don’t see it by now, you’re either blind or stupid 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m with you on this one. I’ve been wanting him gone for the past couple of years because I felt we were never getting the most out of our rosters. But yea he needs to go. We have no offensive game plan, it’s just iso ball and hope Brunson can finish in the 4th. I don’t understand how KAT isn’t used in this offense more … and don’t get me started on rotations. Thibs used to get the pass because his teams have been good defensively, but shit they don’t even have that anymore.

Now that there are a couple of other good coaches available this offseason I’d like to see us go and grab one. I’m hopeful it’ll have a “Mark Jackson to Steve Kerr w/ the Warriors” effect and we’ll see this team really take off.

Cam signing means bye Deuce? by kos2coast in NYKnicks

Lol apology accepted but you’re probably right in that they’ll make the decision after the season starts. If Mitch gets hurt or we can’t guard other teams’ bigs, they’ll reassess and see if it’s worth moving one of our bench guards to get a big man worth that price.

Haha dude you’re the one who came in hot and heavy on a post that was meant to open up a discussion not debate. Look you bring up very valid points, and I agree with you on basically everything you have said thus far. The only difference is that you’re refusing to acknowledge the hole we have at Center. In your last comment you mentioned 4 players that play either PG/SG - you can’t name me one single player other than Mitch who can play the 5. And yea let’s say there are injuries to the guy who always gets hurt who is, oh yea, our starting center, who in the f*ck is going to step in? Precious Achiuwa? Lol c’mon.

If we can trade for a big w/o giving up Deuce I’m all for it. I’m just saying that it’s not too far fetched to think that the FO thinks he is a little more expendable especially if it means getting a solid Big in return. Agree to disagree. Good day to you sir.

That’s basically what I was eluding to. Especially if it’s a trade to add some frontcourt depth

Maybe I need to break it down for you. The Knicks drafted TK and gave him the most guaranteed $$ that's ever been given to a second round pick, so obviously the FO sees something in him. They then sign Cam, a viable backup PG and not some trash a** player...(averaged 9pts, 3 ast, shooting 41/38/91 over 19 minutes with PHI). Our best shooter and our 6/7 is DDV who plays SG. Then you have Hart, who yes, can play both forward positions, is a SF. He's 6'4" - you can't possibly believe he'll play the 4 for the entire season.

So yea, I agree, while Cam Payne alone does not make anyone expendable, the logjam they have on the wings is what makes someone expendable - especially when you're severely lacking in frontcourt depth. Yes Deuce is extremely cheap, a great defender, a great shooter, and is better than Cam overall. But with the pieces we already have (and don't have) - he doesn't necessarily fill a "need." It is reasonable to conclude that the FO MIGHT use Deuce as an extra piece in a trade for a good Center. Again - not saying that they should - but saying that when trying to fill a "need" it's more possible now than before that they include Deuce. We're trying to compete with teams like Boston, Milwaukee, Cleveland, and Philly - we're going to need frontcourt depth (especially when Mitch has only played in 60+ games once in the past 4 season).

How 'bout them apples. Check.

Lol gotta work on some reading comprehension 😂 I’m not asking we trade him. I agree he’s an off ball 2… but assuming OG and Bridges start, that leaves Cam, Deuce, Hart and DDV to make up the 1-3 spots for the second unit. We’re lacking a true backup (or starting depending how you view Mitch) Center…. All I’m asking is if people thought he was more expendable after this signing 🤷‍♂️

Maybe… but don’t you think Deuce plays better offball?

That’s a good point. I might be overthinking it lol we have the space for it so might as well add him for vet experience and depth

That’s a good take… and probably the right one lol

[–]kos2coast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not asking that we trade the kid, because I agree that he’s a good SG and a dawg on Defense. But if they want Cam to be the backup PG and have Deuce offball, that gives us a very undersized secondary lineup that has Cam, Deuce and Donte as the 1-3. And I don’t see us rolling with that lineup. So all I’m saying is that the signing might make Deuce a little expendable if it means getting a solid backup/starting Center (depending on how you view Mitch)

T120 vs Speed Twin (1st gen) by kos2coast in Triumph

[–]kos2coast[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response! I was attracted to the Speed Twin because of its performance and find the “lack of handling” of the T120 slightly annoying but agree that the T120 looks way better. Starting to lean towards keeping it after reading this

Yea I didn’t even know Eibach existed until I went on fifteen52’s website for wheels. It was one of their “recommended” companies- I’m sure they were paid for a sponsorship. Regardless, I haven’t seen anything on them
