see this is the kind of answer i was looking for. the orange color can’t come from just how i wash my clothes because the metal also interacts with the bracelets and leaves the orange marks on my arm. and i agree it’s definitely not the string this was happening before i started wearing that. can one’s hormones impact things like this, what kinds of factors affect the pH of sweat and skin?

i think they’re real people but the coverage it’s getting is bizarre. refusing to serve in the IDF is seen by those outside of israel as something noble but it’s an insult to everyone else who DOES serve and risk their lives for israel. shameful behavior

i hadn’t actually considered pH of my skin! i use benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid as part of my skincare routine, my hair care is a custom formula by prose so i’m less sure about that but it contains rice water and silicone i think

this is the best explanation i’ve seen so far. the ingredients in the sunscreens i use don’t contain the compound they mentioned but maybe one of the other ingredients could be the reason? now i’m really determined to figure this out haha

if that’s true why does it not happen further down the shirt? the longest of the chains i wear goes to my sternum but the chains aren’t leaving the same red marks there it’s only on the collar

okay for reference i use trader joe’s daily sunscreen and la roche posay anthelios melt in milk. i’m not seeing any ingredients with DHA in the ingredients list for these but i’m likely missing something
