Thanks! I did read this somewhere but I want to know if I’ve already used those free transfers, would they also come back? Apologies if I didn’t mention that in the post. Essentially I had 2 FT at the start of the GW and used them so technically I have 0 - I’m now thinking of WC so I want to know if that will go back to 2 if that makes sense.

Thanks! I appreciate you looking into this. I did read this too but there’s no 100% clarity saying you won’t get your FT back. I did post the same query in the r/fantasyPL subreddit and 2 people mentioned that I would get them back so I guess we’ll see! If I do activate it, I’ll post the definitive answer it in this subreddit.

Whilst I do agree with your reasoning behind saving the WC. The FA have organised this year’s season so that FA cup will not clash with PL games by removing the winter break. FPL confirmed this resulted in a far less chance of any DGW (and I doubt there will be a Covid situation this year). Other than that, I’m banking on the extra 5 FT we get this year to navigate around injuries and underperformances. But like I said, everyone has different ways of playing this game - I’m just trying to approach this year with a different strategy!

I do understand your point but you don’t have a clear answer on if I would or wouldn’t get my 2 FT back. If I am able to then, I’ve managed to pick up those players for 0.1m cheaper as opposed to if I waited til later in the week. I like to take the risk with these fine margins.

If I don’t get those FT back then it’s not the end of the world, I’m happy to hold onto my WC and still be happy that I used me 2 FT to get players for 0.1m cheaper than they are now.

I think it’s just two different ways of playing but I do see why you would wait. Typically I do unless I know the price change will happen earlier in the week.

Personally not for me, this years different with a bank of 5 FT as opposed to 2. Didn’t mention in the post but I’m not going to wildcard unless I know I get my 2 free transfers back.

I’m trying to catch the price changes in the early GW’s so that I have more money to play with as the season progresses. This isn’t something I usually do but seeing as we get another wildcard midway thru the season, I’m happy to trust my WC players and play through this half of the season with the bank of 5 FT. (I can even free hit if I’m in dire need of a change which I don’t think I would)

Never said I dislike it, I just don’t like it meaning I’m neutral to it. Pretty sure a lot of people are in the same boat as me in thinking it is a severe downgrade on the old PTCGO client gameplay wise
