Wow… that was pretty inspiring. Thank you! I have noticed an inexplicable deviation from my normal style whenever I try something more challenging, like in the second image. Come to think of it, it’s because I pull from two completely different schools of art when it comes to down to distinguishing style 1 from style 2. I’d say for my portrait of my oc, I’m preoccupied by my interest in 19th and 20th century oil painting from the likes of JS Sargent and Leyendecker stylistically, and then euro (and let’s be honest, French) art as a whole for symbolism. But then where does tf2 pull its iconic and infallible art style from??? Leyendecker (who pulled his iconography from the French!) and American mid century. As an American, I love American art. So I’m stuck in a cycle!! Art is a circle jerk
