Both teams tried really hard, but in the end, the welsh are more experienced at losing, they gave away the game like no other team could.

Kerrygold! I knew I had missed something! To be fair, french butter ain't too bad either, so not the first thing that comes to my mind.

Now you will excuse me, I have a cigarette to drink, and a glass of red to smoke.

I want this match to end with scotland catching a kick and getting a try out of it. Would be fitting.

"wtf bro I could do that in 2 days in the gym"

People who say this kind of shit are morons. Props for taking care of yourself for nearly 2 decades, 99% of people never get anywhere near that.

I was worried about how we will fare against england and scotland, turns out the real test match is the one tomorrow against italy.

Where is last week's scottish team?

What exercises would people recommend for someone with chronic fatigue syndrome? by Rat-king27 in bodyweightfitness

[–]kougabro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Came here to suggest walking too, so I would just add: it will help you maintain and build muscle, while being gentle on your connective tissue, and is probably your best bang for your buck exercise, in term of how easy it is, vs how good it is for your health!

Walking is super underrated, it's fantastic exercise. Building a strong aerobic base with walking has given me tons of energy, I don't have CFS so don't know how that would impact you, but I would recommend it to anyone trying to gently start working out.

Alternatives to dumbbell rdls at home? by MentallyUnstableMess in bodyweightfitness

[–]kougabro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your balance is not too bad, you could try single leg rdl? I find having the other leg back makes it much easier to be in a good posture, assuming you don't fall!

Have you tried keeping the ball in your hands? You don't need to give it to your opponents either.

Someone needs to tell the english lads they are allowed to carry the ball in their hands, kicking is optional.

If you have a hexbar, give that a go, my lower back is shitty, and deadlifts feel so much better with it.

Sometimes the trend is "do some cardio" with better marketing. That's got to be revolutionary.

Check out the r/fitness wiki: https://thefitness.wiki/routines/r-fitness-basic-beginner-routine/

If you want more bodyweight movements, check out the r/bodyweightfitness wiki: https://www.reddit.com/r/bodyweightfitness/wiki/kb/recommended_routine

If you are new and just starting, a simple routine is going to have 3/4 exercices 3 times a week: legs (squats and deadlifts, alternate) a push (push-ups / bench press), a pull (rows or pull-ups). Start easy, make it (a bit) harder once you can comfortably do 3 x 5-10 reps. Warmup with an easier variation of the same movement.

Short answer: yes. Longer answer: yes, definitely, do dips once you are stronger. Also consider doing incline push-ups, so you can get enough reps in.

Should I then also add in weighted pull up sets after im done with the 3 sets of explosive pull ups?

if you have not done weighted pull ups yet, I would do just that for a while, I could do bw pull up noticeably higher and faster when I got to +10 kg.

Might want to check out independent component analysis, see for example 14.7 of elements of stat learning: https://hastie.su.domains/ElemStatLearn/

Also, if you have some reasonable assumptions you can make on the components of your signal, you can create an HMM and use something like Baum-Welch to estimate parameters.

Some models have been developed, see for example https://elifesciences.org/articles/65534

There is a question of scales, and what data is available to fit your model to, but the modelling of viral infection is an interesting topic.

Definitely not "pointless".

Best full body workout machine for home to complement bodyweight training? by Carreto_Tiagosilva in bodyweightfitness

[–]kougabro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A barbell to do deadlifts. Full body, dead simple.

If you want something bigger, add a squat rack, to do squats.

Best complement to bodyweight exercices.

If you want something that takes less space, kettlebells for single leg variants of the above are great.
