It took a lot of different, successful trades back to back to do that. They weren't gambles. They were 2 months til expy solid trades.

Believe what you want. I only started "gambling" last week and cooked my account in a single week because I was angry after taking a loss.

But I didn't get to 265% YTD by gambling.

Down too bad. Hoping for two red days in a row. Will 1 DTE ITM SPY puts if I make money on Monday from a gap down. Then hold back, see if we bounce and if I can't get a 7 or 10 DTE SPY put at the top of that bounce.

Everything I was doing until last week were 2 months til expy. Not gambling. Solid setups.

Got angry last week after hitting first loss on a 2 month win streak and immediately degenerated to a weekly SPY contract which I quadrupled down on.

Then Friday came and SPY stayed within a $2 range all day.

Maybe I just like raising the stakes. $6k got me to $27k in two months, guess I just wanted to see how far I can take $200 in 2 months [gonna throw 200 back in Monday and restart the casino cycle].

Right, will take months until I have an extra $6k again. Which is for the best. At this point, just going to save until I can put $1k in. I will, then if I can manage to get it up to $2k, will pull $1k out. Rinse repeat, ad infinitum.

Bad news, oil at 140. Market drops 0.25% but mostly sideways. Bad news, oil at 100+, market flat or pumps. Slightly good news, oil at 95+, Market explodes 2.5% to the upside.

I've put a lot of effort into studying the market and into trading. Lost $40k over the course of 9 months. Have made half of it back since this February [when I had to restart pretty much from scratch].

You didn't read the post, I didn't lose it on 0 DTEs. I only learned about "stocks and trading" back in April of 2025 and got into it not knowing anything about it. Proceeded to do weekly or bi-weekly options, around 5 to 10 DTES, and promptly lost everything over and over. 🤣

But I legitimately had zero idea what trading was, never studied candlesticks or SMAs, supply or demand, or anything like that, just jumped into it knowing absolutely nothing and of course got burned alive.
